Hints and tips from rotarylineland.

When you buy a new clothes line, or if you have to replace the line, which you will. Always, repeat always, replace the plastic line with the line which has a metal string running through it. It is plastic coated wire. You will find it will last for ages. If your plastic coated wire breaks, and it might do if you have a dozen boakins and a couple of nessiemodo dragons swinging on it, there are little joining clips you can get to fix it, rather than tying the wire together.

Morning all. Just checking the email and the fh sites before I get ready for work. Have a quiet restful evening. Catch you later.

(do you think Auntie knows we have a Bank Holiday tomorrow? While she is slaving away, we will be doing what we do best- lol)

Hi Yidarmylass - where have you been hiding? Sorry you didn't make PB, but in the circumstances, its just as well. LG can fill you in with all the goss when you sip daintily from bone chine tea cups shortly.

For the sake of the stranded, hope A isn't called out, but on the other hand, he may appreciate the overtime.

And Pauline - no electricity or Internet? That *is* as bad as LG, Maz and YG's journey!

Sip from Bone China, not on your nelly we have good old mugs (not bone china ones) :D.

YG Report 29 May 2011 23:02

Ooooh errrrrr!! I like my bone china, although it has to be a mugs, not a cup!! The bigger the better!!

Am off to bed when I've watched the Classical Brit Awards.

Sleep well everyone, and have a good day at work Aunty!! <3

Night YG, sleep well.

Cups? Not in use, but plenty of Mugs - you get more in them! All a mismatch, and only 2 bone china, but they are all 'memories' in use everyday.

Morning everyone.

What a grey day, and those oop norf must be practising their doggy paddles. The wet stuff will probably fizzle out by the time it reaches us. :O

Waiting for OH to surface, then will decide how to spend our day - probably not doing a lot as normal. Wonder if he can be dragged out for a walk with a promise of a pint mid way??? :D

Morning all from a wet, soggy Yorkshire. Steady rain, but not stopped all night, so I am now half motivated to do the unmentionable. A quick flick round and then chill!!

I might add that the garden is exceedingly happy with the rain. We will try to save some for you all darn sarf :D <3

So you lot have an August Bank Holiday holiday in May do you. I am sure I have told you before that it is sujpposed to be in August. Well we have a birthday holiday for Queen Liz about 12th June or whatever that Monday is so we'll be equal then.

Aunty has just come home from her first fitness class in almost twelve months. Rocks in her head she has. The old saying use it or lose it is so true. It is going to take me months to get back to my previous mediocre level of fitness. I had the most trouble doing ab work laying on the floor. Not much opportunity for laying on the floor while renovating a house. The arms and legs move OK, and heavens who am I kidding, I am going to be so sore tomorrow.

Off to research land. At least my fingers don't hurt, yet!!!

YG. Just noticed you have Holton (NSW) as a search project. No idea of who, date range or where, however if you Google National Australia Archives and put Holton in the record search and select all categories you will find 158 things to look at.

Just in case you have nothing better to do on your Bank Holiday.

YG

YG Report 30 May 2011 11:58

Thank you Aunty!! I will have a look! Another excuse not to do any of the unmentionable!!

Oh, and we have another bank holiday at the end of August!! The government (crazy as they are!!) are threatening to move the May Day holiday(first Monday of May) to October as there are too many round April & May, depending when Easter falls.

The May Day holiday is a traditional celebration of May Day when villagers dance round the maypole, so don't really see it fitting in for October

The world's gone mad :S

I can't believe I am still awake. My eyes are so squinty I can scarcely see. Been putting up another thread for them what has nothing to do to do. Now have OHs rellies appearing back in 1790, but lots to find out yet.

Starving hungry too. Unmentionable is staring me in the face but it can wait until morning when I will do a white tornado fling around the house so it looks like someone has tidied up, a bit.

My - you 2 have been busy bees! Wonder if Auntie was/will be able to get up for work ? ;-) Not only the new aches and pains, but the fuzzy head and gritty eyes LOL.

Didn't do much today. Pottered in the garden hacking a couple of shrubs back, wandered off to the post box and to hand deliver a letter (which the postman delivered to us in error) and that's about it! I really ought to make a list of things which *must* be done before playtime. :O

The rain did reach us, but it was more of a light drizzle. Never mind.

OH made 'fizzy' coffee this evening, so who knows when sleep will come!

YG

YG Report 30 May 2011 22:22

Good grief! That upside down woman is up again - lol :D

Have a good day, and if you do fall a sleep at work, don't snore too loudly.
