I only slept for three minutes at work today and someone walked into my office and woke me up.

It is freezing here. Lovely days and we are heading towards the 18 19 degree mark and then rain at the end of the week, but the mornings and evenings, brrrrrrrrrr, really pommy stuff.

Remember my mishap in my little car. Replaced the hatch. Weeeeeell, I put it throught the car wash the other day. Done that a hundred times before. Been noticing a musty smell in the car lately. Checked the boot and everything in there is very wet. OH has adjusted the hatch but in his typical mechanic's voice he has warned me that, "plastic cars are never the same when you damage them, they just don't fit back together properly".

Off to buy a lottery ticket!!!!!

poor aunty wet car , Its lovely here have just been to the team meeting so now going to grab a quick coffee and start painting then later I am going to do a stint in the garden . I am hoping that Andrew is in tonight so I can get some help

What's with the width and the height? Otherwise all correct except the hearts. it'll all sort itself out in the wash :-)

Sorry about your soggy boot AS - get your Oh to talk to LG's OH and they may be able to do a fix between them. Must have missed the 'what I did to my car' episode - back it into something or rear ended??

Was not a typo lol my Gunners were Gonners this season :-(. As for leaky boots Oh has still not been able to fix mine :-S

Re my car, never had a problem before the mishap. Did I not tell you about it???? Couple of months ago, end February. Waiting to turn left and a 4WD ran into the back of my car. Destroyed the hatch and tail lights. Took almost three weeks to get it fixed, and as I said it has not been the same. And no I wasn't hurt.

I thought I had switched off the stupid yellow blots by re checking compatability view, but this morning they are back, except for the red heart which looks very lonely and out of place in the line up.

Going to work early this morning have a computer upload to do before the multitude arrive.

My car had the back corner taken off by a JCB. Never been the same since :-(

I have finished the main painting in the back room so now its the skirts and gloss etc

Sorry to hear that Maz. it is so inconsiderate of the neighbours. You could understand it if it was a Fri or Sat, when tradition used to be that not many people worked over the weekend, but ??? Hope you are still keeping a record of all the disturbances.

Supposed to be going out for the day and have the part baked rolls in the oven for a picnic. We/I want to go to Batemans, Kiplings home. Lets hope that this time we don't end up with a Cooks tour through the wilds of Kent, East and West Sussex again! And yes, I've checked: it is open LOL :-D

Trying to arrange to meet a 2nd cousin once removed sort of thing who is coming from the US at the end of June. Have just found out that he and his wife are bringing his 2 teenage daughters. Wonder how they feel about being dragged around musty churches? Sheerness (the Ancestral roots) isn't really a tourist destination! Assuming my OH comes, we can't fit 6 in the car. Bit of a problem there.

They could hire a car and follow you around. That way both parties could travel in comfort. Of course you could catch the train; it would be the experience of a lifetime and something they would be able to talk about for years to come!!!!

H Maz, Hope you have a knee pad for the skirtings. You will ruin your knees, (Aunty speaking from house reno experience), crawling around on the floor. And don't forget to mask the floor and the wall before you paint the skirtings, AND pull the masking tape off as soon as the paint dries.

That's what they suggested AS, but there doesn't seem to be any self drive car hire places in Sheerness, which makes it rather awkward. Unless he is used to driving on 'the wrong side of the road' I wouldn't recommend it. The Isle of Sheppey lanes are quite narrow in places which could be scary. We are toying with the idea of taking his and her cars from home and dragging along PC to commiserate with the teenagers. Public buses have been suggested, but the service doesn't look all that good.

We will sort it out!

OH has finished his 2nd cup of coffee, so we are off. Send out the search parties if we aren't back this evening!
