another dull day here we had a lovely tea inside as it was damp It is brightening up here .my coalhole is well sorted all of my old dads tools are now in the attic in a box . Froggy reckons some of them will be worth some cash but its the memories that are priceless really

Morning all, it is quite bright here at thre moment but I don't think it will last. As you say Maz it is a risk you take with cats, their oldest one 'moved out' about 6 months ago to live just down the road and no amount of persuassion could bring her back so they had to leave her behind with this move. Of course that did not help the passing of the little one but the good news is that the ginger one is settling a bit now and not pining quite so much, bless him.

Maz quite right about the tools memories are priceless. I have a box of nick nacks from my Mum in Laws and I don't display them but cannot part with them.

Evening all. A reasonable day here. A bit breezy and cloudy this morning, but the sun managed to come out and I have been outside weeding all afternoon.

Just off for a bath and then cook dinner so will catch you later. <3

Morning all shame you are not nearer me Froggy loves sorting computers out he has been on a week retrieving Data from a lappy of a friend has lost his data .and had not backed it all up lol
well back to school today will hopefully learn my fate this month contract hours etc so I am going to have a chance to find something else .to top it all up
redundancy would have been easier as they would have paid me some money and the system is geared for redundancy with free courses and mortgage help but not a contract cut

Morning all -

The waiting is usually worse than the result, don't you think? Hope they don't keep you in suspense for much longer. Mind you, it might be the Iceberg who goes, rather than you!

I am pleased to report that it has been raining 'properly' all night and the water butts are full :-D However, there are reports in the county of road closures due to flooding - can we launch the Ark please? lol

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 6 Jun 2011 08:54

The ark is well and truly afloat. It smells so fresh outside it is lovely and also saves me watering in the new plants too :-D. I still have some to put in so if it eases later I will get on with it, knees permitting :-(

Oh, we've got good weather up here today, bright and sunny, a bit breezy but not cold. Mind you, it was freezing on Saturday - and not much better yesterday.

We could do with some rain though, all the wind has dried the soil out, it's rock hard.

AuntySherlock Report 6 Jun 2011 12:29

Evening all. I am again embroiled in my horrible Hill search. Don't know why I just don't brick the man up into a wall and leave him there.

Yidarmylass, I noticed you are searching Carter. Fooooooolish woman. If you need some pointers just ask. I'll tell you who not to search, I have them all in my tree.

We were promised a week a rain. Couple of showers, a bit breezy and cloudy. Not very much of the wet stuff.

OK off to do some more looking. If anyone needs stuff from FMP let me know, I have a few credits. What I got them for did not work so they can sit there until I need them.

My footy team lost. Us fans are not happy. Not underlined, happy underlined. I suppose it is what happens when the veterans retire from the team and the youngsters have to replace them. They will probably be very good in a couple of year. Hope I can wait that long!!!!

Afternoon/Evening/Morning (delete as applicable)

So Auntie is back up the Hills, is she? You're in good hands with JC on your thread - if any one can, she can! Sorry about your team - as you said the good 'uns wear out, and the youngsters have still to grow into their prime.

Must have got up too early this morning, or went to bed too late last night as I went back to bed again at 0900 until OH woke me up 2 1/2 hours later! At least it is better than snoring at work this afternoon - lol

Hope you managed to get the plants in today LG. Are your knees any better or is this still the result of running for the train? I've sent off the insurance claim, but doubt if they will honour it. Still, nothing ventured (apart from the price of a 2nd class stamp), nothing gained.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 6 Jun 2011 18:41

Evening all, no plants in today at all. By the time the rain stopped I could not be asked so spent some Nanna time with the mini Gooners :-). My knees and ankles hurt most of the time now for no apparent reason, just old age :-(
