Yooooo Hoooooo. Just got in after a very interesting evening with our local Historical Society, Yidarmylass and I had a great time :-)

A couple of sharp, heavy showers and sun in between.

RMS, I live in a different area of Yorkshire, so cannot help with the graveyards in Dewsbury. Perhaps it would be worth asking on genealogy chat board.

I'm ok, I think!! One of the days when I got out of bed and knew it was going to be an effort all day! I'm alright now though! Perhaps it's something to do with work lol!!

LOL that could be what it is. I have had a hectic day too and walking around for almost 2 hours this evening has really pooped me. Very interesting guided walk though.

I think I need to join our local society, but it will have to wait until I retire!! All I want to do when I get in is relax, even the gardening is taking a back seat at the moment!

They are well worth joining. I can't think why we did not join before now. Oh and by the way our next meeting is at the (wait for it) FIRE STATION. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I have always had an interest in all the places I have lived in. I have just found an intersting article in our local paper pointing me in the right direction of some cottages(sadly gone now) where some of OH's rellies lived.

Morning all - this arranging Ancestral roots tour is getting quite complicated - they are staying in Walthamstow in London, which as a 'foreigner' wouldn't be my first choice, and seem to be bumming around Europe on a budget. At least we have sorted out 2 cars for Sheppey..... and I really must stop trying to organise other peoples lives - I think I'm giving them too many opitons. :-0
