Intelligent dog!!!! He threw up all over the carpet this morning. I'm wondering if it was something I said.

The dog threw up not OH.
4 degrees C here this morning.

And we have a volcanic ash cloud. Remember your Iceland chaos. Well Oz has the same thing with a volcano in Chile. The winds are pushing the cloud our way. It has disrupted air traffic something terrible. Now there's another reason why I don't fly.

http://www.news.com.au/travel/news/chile-ash-cloud-hits-tassie-nz-flights/story-e6frfq80-1226073731601?from=public_js

They also had more earthquakes in Christchurch NZ. Wonder if this end of the globe is going to break off and we will have our own planet. Hey we could have interplanetary wars instead of just cricket tests!!!

Oh gawd! Drink a glass of water while standing on your head YG :-D

What have you been feeding OH's dog AS? YG's Shepherds pie can't be that bad -lol We had heard about the earthquake in Christchurch, but not about the Chilean volcanic ash cloud.....and the main evening BBC news is on. Mind you, they've dropped the NZ quake now. Hope you were able to get lots done 'yesterday' in your quiet office.

Morning - no Maz? Are we still getting the Errors?

Supposed to be really hot today, up to 24c. Typically, we are both working this afternoon. At least I can get the washing out without concern it will get wet.

EDIT - RMS had another look for the elusive James, to no avail. Try putting a thread up on Finding Ancestors; maybe be they will be more successful. Sorry.

Morning all, I am off out into the garden (hopefully!!) this morning, unless any of my lot find me something better to do that is :-(

AuntySherlock Report 14 Jun 2011 09:49

RMS Is that one of the elusive members of the Ball family.

DET are you looking? Would the migration records on FMP be a help.

Wish we had some Philadelphians amongst our research mob. I am having trouble locating the birth of a rellie supposedly born in that location. I'll wait until I have his marriage certificate before I start screaming help.

I sussed out a LDS family history centre the other day. About an hour's drive from home. Found out tonight there's another one about five minutes from work. Duh!!! Ijit woman.

Evening all. Would you like to swap 24 degrees for 4 and a bit.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 14 Jun 2011 10:04

Morning/Evening Auntie - you can keep your 4 degrees - we had enough of that over winter ourselves! At least you are unlikely to get any snow to go with it.

The CnP RMS put up, does look like an A** one, but as I think it might have been sent to her by someone else, it could be from FMP.

This is what I sent
James Ball
Birth abt 1875
Age 76
Arrival date 16 Aug 1951
Port of Arrival Southampton
Port of Voyage Quebec
Ship name Scythia

It probably was the elusive Ball, possibly the one who was an Academic. The destination address (incoming UK passenger lists) was
Ardincott, Kimpis Corner, Ashford, Kent
