What was this site doing last night lol!!

No, it wasn't the cottage pie DET!!! Bloomin' site maintenance, then it let me post, then it wouldn't let me post, just kept getting an error message. Every time I tried I got the same message, so gave up. Then it's gone and posted them all!

If it's an error, it's an error, fgs, it shouldn't be holding them and sticking them all on here at once! Arggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh :-P :-D

Oooh, it's back. Wonder if it will accept this post or whether it is going to hang on me again and then give me an error message again.

Anybody there??

Aunty sits in front of her computer with an icicle dripping from her nose, fingers frozen into claws and a shiver which rocks the room.
The heater is on but the room hasn't warmed above freezing yet.

Aunty moves the heater closer to the desk.
I do not know how you lot live where there is ice and snow. I've said that before haven't I.

Last night I ordered a couple of microfilms from LDS. Took quite a while because each time I got to the pay now bit it wouldn't accept my payment method. Sorted in the end. Never done this before and a bit too pricy to make a habit of it however, if it answers some questions it will have been worth it.

Interesting to see the amount of errors now being reported on GR. Also the fact that GR staff are now communicating with members. Don't seem to experience many of the problems being reported, only the occasional "maintenance" message.

No the Hartnell are the ones that like to hide but the Balls usually stay in one place once they settle.
No, James is not the academic, his son was, whom he was going back to live with for a while.

I just got a letter from my great Uncle Frank, last of his generation, James youngest son, at 93 boy his memory is good on certain things. His says his brother Will did work at the Agricultural College, except I have already written to them and they had never heard of him AARRGGHH :-S

Dad saids he is trying to rewrite history - 'Mary' committed suicide by walking into the sea, Frank saids she slipped off a cliff, he also saids I shouldn't dig into it to deeply, which of course makes me want to more. Just that I don't know how to go about it. :-(

"Try putting a thread up on Finding Ancestors;" - Thats where it came from!! :-D

RMS. A suggestion. Have you tried searching the digitized newspapers. If your Mary died in unusual circumstances there may have been a newspaper report of her death.

I found lots of information including a mysterious death, marriages and death family notices in the Australian Trove, which is our version of digitised papers.

I'm assuming you are searching in UK, if so they have their own digitised program. Don't know how good the results are but I know the Aussie version needs lots of correction, which is what happens when you ask a machine to read old newspapers.

Just thinking while I am typing and worked out I am telling you to do something which I should have done!!
