The cakes episode was followed by the solemn announcement that he was not going to walk the dog with the old ladies any more because he was "catching" their elderly ways and habits.

Asked why. His reply. Went to do the shopping and take money out of eftpos machine. Left shopping list home, came back and got it, took money out of account and put the shopping list in the receipt bin and the receipt in my pocket. I'm catching the elderly germs.

That sounds like a normal day for me....... :-D

Maz, should we all keep our fingers crossed that next door does a runner as soon as they let him out? Is it any quieter, now that he isn't there - or have they let him out already?

I think I've been transported to the old country.

Flaming freezing cold and absoluely pouring with rain.

Rain started about ten minutes ago. I'm sitting here huddled up close to the heater, eating cup cakes, and trying not to go to sleep.

Decided I have to make a list of all the sites I access, my log in names and passwords. Although I try to keep the same passwords I sometimes have to change the log in name to suit the circumstances. Now I keep forgetting which one goes where.

Also waiting for the support technicians to telephone me about my virus scanner. Seems I have been advanced to the next level because the problem is not fixable over the email chat line. Either that or I'm too stupid to understand what they are telling me to do.

Gardening? Did it stop raining then? Glad next door is quiet - obviously the interaction between them all.

We're off for our long awaited later Mothering Sunday/early Father's day posh-nosh meal. Waiting for the taxi so we can both imbibe, but PC will be collecting us. Hope I'm anaesthetised sufficiently by then!

Have a good evening all...we will :-D

(back arrowed - dup or post once?)

It's half time in the footy so good evening all. Watching it on telly. My team was lots ahead but now they are just two points ahead. They still have two more quarters to play. I picked them in my tips after swearing I'd never pick them again.

Cold wet windy and miserable. Gym trainer tried to kill me tonight but I managed to survive. Don't think I'll be able to walk tomorrow. What a good idea I think I'll stay in bed.

DET do you have the hiccups or was it something out of a glass which caused your malady.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 17 Jun 2011 12:07

Afternoon all - is this your usual team playing AS? Thought they were a weekend one - it is still Friday down under isn't it? If you are very stiff, well, serves you right, trying to compete with the fitness freaks - lol.

We had a v nice meal - 5 courses and accompanying wines. Trouble was I was sooo hungry when we go there, the first glass went straight to my head! I was going to ask for a Tonic Water until we started to eat - honest, Gov!

Suppose the quiet was too good to last Maz. She was probably having a right go at him for getting caught.

One session at work already done and a 2nd session later. Wish me luck - its a horrible one to organize.

AuntySherlock Report 17 Jun 2011 13:55

We won't talk about football...............

But to answer your question. Yes it was my usual team, mutter, mutter. We start our games on Friday night. Which is what it is here.

They played good for three and a half quarters and then....... oh well.

I could just go a couple of glasses of bubbly right now. Drown my sorrows. Your meal sounds very nice. I had cold pizza, well lukewarm pizza, and a cupcake!!

Hope someone sorts out your next doorers soon Maz. I thought once they'd been nicked things might quieten down. Can't you form a "concerned citizen's group" with a few of your neighbours, make up some placards, and march down to your county/council/suburb/local government offices and stage a protest.

Hey that would be fun to see. You could take your sleeping bags and swags and camp outside and chain yourselves to somethings in protest until they move the trouble makers elsewhere.

Arrrghhh! Double Arrrrghh!

90 teenagers - 6 x 20 min exams - Not everyone does all 6.

Takes 15 mins to get them seated 'Can't remember my seat number'.
Start exam 1 at 1350 - school finishes at 1600
Takes up to 8 mins to dismiss those who have completed their entered session, collect in and give out next ones.

So 20 + 8 = 28 x 6 = 2h 48m.

And we only had 2h 10 mins to fit it in!
Even if it were possible to start bang on 1.45, it would give us 2 mins approx between session - physically impossible.

4 Kids walked out at 1600 (school end) instead of doing the last session.

Browned off doesn't cover it. :-(

hi there
well i have got my tickets refund however I got what I paid for them but you cant book on line to use them which means I cant use them for a longer journey as it will cost more lol
next doorers may be pushed out the travelling community do not like trouble makers .and although they do create issues nicking on your own doorstep is not on

Ooh I am glad someone else comes home from work in a rage!!!! Makes me feel a whole lot better!!

I escaped at 2.55 today, as I had some toil to take for staying until 7pm last week. It started to rain as I left work, stopping me from cutting the grass cut, so I have just chilled!!

Teatime now, me thinks!!

Where were you lurking last night LG

I have enough trouble with my Irish and German lot, wouldn't fancy looking for a Russian!

Glad you enjoyed your meal DET, 5 courses sounds like a good meal.

I couldn't get on this thread, managed to get on others with Firefox, but not this one. I've had to use IE to read it and post on it........... well, I think my post will go on.
