Evening all. I will not use F******k either. It proved to be the bane of H's life as she became totally obsessed with it as a teenager and I vowed never to have it's presence in our house again.

Lovely day here today just chilled out with OH for the whole day :-D

Dear All

Hello

Speaking about beat the goalie, the football season will be with us soon.

The Community Shield is on 7 August between Manchester City and Manchester Utd and the Premier league matches start the following week.

I better stock up on the tissues and football rattles now.

Take gentle care
Very best wishes
xx

Hi Maz, this little question is for you.

Which of your Head rellies, initial G, could possibly have been on a ship between New Zealand and Sydney NSW in 1921. Aged 22 and as a crew member.

Morning all - glad everyone has had a good w/e so far - even Auntie's footie team!

Elizabeth, Your local fair sounds great, especially for the youngsters. Ours is today but we are still dithering about whether or not to go - it's not the same without children in tow. At least the sun is shining!

We were contemplating the County Show in a few weeks, but the entry prices are horrendous, so perhaps not :-0

Hi everyone, been taking it easy today. Not done much and feeling a lot better for it.

Aunty has opened her big mouth and agreed to do some transcribing. It is passenger lists of ships in Australian waters. Blooming hard work. It's bad enough when you know who you are looking for, but when you have to work out what the scribble means....... I am hopeless. Oh well, good deeds never did hurt anyone. You never know I might become an expert!!! in years to come.

Off to find me another avatar.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 3 Jul 2011 11:09

Oh well done Aunty - I've been transcribing for freereg for a number of years. You try Gothic script and it really does your head in. At least you won't get tangled up with Gregorian/Julian calendar changes - lol

Have you worked out what EOS's saucepan lids are yet? I've been waiting for a plaintiff post :-D

AuntySherlock Report 3 Jul 2011 12:03

Hi Maz, as I said in a previous post I am doing transcribing. The name appears on a list of crew on a ship in 1921. I just wondered.

I've also found Hill, Gallagher and a few others I am researching. None of which match my lot.

Just an idle question.

Yeah! Great news Maz! All the phone calls etc to the landlord have eventually paid off!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D

YG, hope you have your fan and ice cold water ready.....we have arranged for a Fireman to come and visit ;-)

We went to the Village Festival; they had a fire safety display and I decided we really ought to work out were to put a smoke alarm. Had a good time, although it did get a bit hot. The glass of local wine and Boy Scout's burger probably didn't help!
Won a small basket of smellies on the tombola, and bought 4 2nd hand books and a bag of broad beans for OH, which I can't stand. He can have them tomorrow with his dinner.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 3 Jul 2011 20:49
