Well. Tarrantarar tarantarar. Aunty is on holidays. Two whole weeks. Beginning of first week in the lap of luxury for three days. Taking the lappy so I will message you from there.

I have one question for YG. Are you still employed. After picturing you go through your trials and tribulations, or should that be trains and tribulations your executive whatevers must have pi**led themselves laughing. Never mind just shows there's a bit of get up and go in the old girl yet.

Clancy is sulking. Says he's a ferocious monster, not a soppy sponge. I fear he needs more training before I reaches CP standard. In the meantime I'll catapult him over to sop up the dribbles. Hope that window is still open or you will have a damp purple sponge sliding down the glass with a glare in his eyes.

We too have rain. And rain, and more rain. And it is about twelve degrees. We also have one airline grounded and that has thrown the holiday plans of many families into chaos. Trains went on strike this morning but they are back operating this afternoon. And Aunty's team has a bye this weekend, which means they will be next to useless next weekend when they play again.

Oh well I'm off to have a lurk around and who's arguing with whom. Catch you all later.

Hope you enjoy your holiday Aunty. Are you off to lose your annual earnings again? If you aren't flying, how are you going to get 'there'? Have a great time and try and make a profit if you are going where you've been before :-)

Although we had a wander around the spa, we weren't allowed to 'take the water'. Apparently it is currently banned due to the low water table and mineral concentration in the Spring. some how I'd imagine something like Bath, but it was just a glorified puddle, although they used to have proper bathing baths in Regency times. The In-laws hadn't ventured down to that part of town before, but may well in the future as there a number of genial tea-shops.

Morning. :-D. I wondered where you had got to DET and Maz too. I was going to send William over to wake you up with his howling but he was out trying to catch Sweetpea. Unfortunately the little devil managed to hide away somewhere :-(. As for forgetting the CPs we could always list them on the guest book when we move home . Whenever that may be ?

Have a good holiday Aunty I hope the rain stops for you. It is fair chucking it down here and I unfortunately have to do the banking for OH so I might get a tad soggy :-P. I am waiting for the start of footie season with a bit of trpeidation seeing as there is a lot of buying and selling going on with the players. Still we shall see what we shall see :-S

Luxury holiday is work work conference. Driving distance from home but it is a residential thing so we stay there for the three days. Do I sound like I'm complaining. No way. It is good fun, meet lots of friends and people who are in the same type of occupation and learn lots of things.

No sign of the rain letting up here. Another week of low temps and rain has been forecast.

May I ask a queston. There is a thread on here about a newspaper closing down. Lots of comments along the lines of "good riddance". I know I'm not thick but what has happened. Is it that paper which publishes stories about aliens and things like that, or have I missed something over here.

At work, we were told that if a Student had a reading age of 11, they could read the NOTW, so didn't need extra tuition ;-) That will probably give you an idea at the level of vocabulary and sentence construction frequently used.

Although I may have skimmed through one in a cafe or one left on a train, I can honestly say I've never bought one. Although I regret the loss of jobs, it doesn't extend to the paper itself.

Enjoy the all expenses Jolly - do some people avoid you now they know about your FH interests? :-D Hope you are going away for the rest of the time. Knowing Aunty, she'll end up back at work.

LG - how is The Back today? Any improvement, or another day of skiving?

Right now Aunty is going to bed. I have a consultation with the chief painter at the local hairdressers tomorrow morning. Only seems like yesterday I had the bucket of paint tipped over my head and the four inch brush applied to even it out. The paint that is, not my head.

If only I did not have to part my hair in the centre. If only hair did not grow back grey again. Don't you think we should be able to eat something which changes the colour of your hair.

What a good idea. Perhaps if we colour the custard a little deeper pinkish brown and eat enough of it, it might have a lasting effect on hair.

OK OK. If you are going to throw it at me I'll shut the window. Not that the window is open tonight. It is pouring down outside.

Edit. I am ignoring that comment about going to work in my holdiay. Of course I probably, perhaps, maybe won't. Actually I might because, well I'm not sure yet, it's only the first day of the holiday. Let me see how bored I get before I make any sudden decision. Well maybe I might just for one or two days!!!!

That would be a good idea about the hair colour, I'm sick of having to colour my silver parting. Perhaps if we ate more chocolate it would help with the colour.

OH just back from the chemist to collect a prescription - he is dead chuffed that he doesn't have to pay anymore...........so no more charges or prepayment 'season ticket' card! :-D :-D :-D

Evening all!!

I made it out of bed ........................ just!! Had a good night's sleep, but legs and ankles still sore today, though nowhere near as bad!! I think the sudden change from wearing flip-flops all summer because of my bad foot into ankle boots rediscovered muscles I had forgotten about!!

Aunty, yes, I do still have my job!!! I'm hanbging on in there by my dentures!!!

Have a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and try to behave yourself!!

Talking of hair colour, someone on the news last week said that a shampoo has now been made with enzymes that encourage colour back into the hair. Can't wait for it to come on the market. We will have to borrow the vat from Nut Lodge to put it in, so we can all share!! :-D :-D

I'm still very tired tonight, so think I will be in bed early and hope to make the most of a lay-in tomorrow, cats willing!!!

Hmmm Cats, a bit of a sore point with us. We think youngest is losing the plot. She has taken to running upstairs and howling at the top of her lungs. Ok during the day but by eck it don't half make you jump at night :-(

cats i am holding one and trying to type its wet again here i need to get the washing dry at some point lol been busy day but no uth so i can catch up with some chores
two weeks and we are on holiday lol although i am working most of it which is good news

Had some heavy rain here today, but sunny in between and quite pleasant now

Hoping to get my washing done and dried tomorrow!
