Oh heck Maz, I bet you can't wait for that lot to leav e :-(. I am sitting here with my coffee, and trying to get the motivation to do something :-D

Morning all - Maz will be absolutely shattered by this afternoon - makes me want to go back to bed just by reading it - lol You can't really complain at midnight shenanigans on a Sat evening. Even though you may have to work on the Sunday, for a lot of people it is still traditionally a day of rest. Now if it were a week night, or after 1 am, that would be a different matter!

Glad that you all had a fruitful day yesterday. BM decided to pay us an overnight visit - its just like old time - Mugs, Coke Cans, Dirty socks, Bags etc left where they were put/dropped. Sigh. :-0 Still, we wouldn't have it any other way cos it's too late to change him :-)

Hope Aunty is enjoying her lap of luxury break and having lots of open eyed snoozes during the more boring presentations ;-)

I had said to PC that perhaps she could assign one of her 'Bank' ie extra shifts to the owed time, but apparently there is no way to tell the Computer that. :-0 She was in a foul mood at the time and not receptive to suggestions.

Morning everyone!! Ok >>>> I know it's really the afternoon, but not to me, as I didn't crawl out of bed until 10.45!!!

I have done some jobs though and am going to start the ironing soon, so hopefully I will catch up with Maz!!

I don't blame your PC for being so annoyed DET. I would be raging like a bull if it were me!! I hope she can find a solution.

Wonder how many glasses of champers Aunty has already drunk!! Perhaps she will tell everyone about Nut Lodge and Tumbleweed House!

Maz, 3rd August is good, I will book the ticket this week.

Greetings all. Half way through typing a message on this ridiculous lap top and all the GR advertisements decided to flash onto the screen. Lost me whole blimmin message didn't I. Mumbble muuumble. Heavens I hate lap tops.

Well here I am in the lap of luxury. Well almost. Not quite what we ordered. No ocean view, despite the fact we order that vista and was promised it. Heads will roll tomorrow morning.

Now I've forgotten what I typed before. The weather, ah yes, was blowing an absolute gale this afternoon. No idea right now because I am cocooned in this airtight cell, overlooking the shopping centre. Lights are pretty but I would have preferred the ocean rolling against the beach.

I see you are all just crawling out of bed, middle of the day, tut tut.

I am sitting here slaving over this lap top, eating chocolate chip cookies and drinking milo. So much for the champagne. We had chinese for tea which was very nice.

Went for a walk down the shopping area and found a book shop. I do know not to go into those places. Too late she cried. Four books later including two novels, a cookery book and one for OH, OK so he can have the cook book as well. (Why won't lap tops allow you to speed type). Well I finally escaped from the bookshop.

Has the building of Tumbleweed House commenced yet. i shouldn't take too long if we use the same builders who constructed Nut Lodge. Wave of the magic wand and it's complete.

OH was talking about going on a cruise when I retire. We have had the idea for a while but have put if off until after I retire. Wondering if I could convince him to take a cruise to the UK. Probably not, his idea of a cruise would be to hop on the boat in SA, chuck a fishing line over the back, and fish until we reach WA and then catch the train home. Whole thing over in a week and a bit. Poor man he does have some dreadful experiences coming his way when I give up working.

Ok that will do for now. I'll let you know what I have for breakfast. None of this cereal and toast. Let me see, I think I'll have bircher museli, danish pastries and muffins. Maybe some eggs, or some yoghurt and fruit.

Catch you later.

I thought your neighbours from hell had departed Maz. Keep on repeating to yourself, all good things come to those who wait. Cant be much longer now.

Oh dear, oh dear, why do I switch this lappy on!!! Did get as far as putting up the ironing board and getting the iron out, then decided to have a couple of crispbreads and soft cheese. I will play a game on the lappy while I eat it, says I, and I am still sitting here!!! Arrgghhh!! I must move my bottie >>> NOW!!

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 10 Jul 2011 17:11

Why ? The ironing isn't going to run away - or at least it won't if it's clean :-D Wait until there is something you want to watch on TV later, and do it then.

Glad you are having an interesting time Auntie - hope the room mate didn't snore too loudly ;-)

Very early good morning. Aunty's shopping list for today. Ear plugs, headphones (which I left home) for the ipod, battreries for the book light so I can read at night. Just about to get dressed and go do a half hour in the gym. Well I might as well make use of it while I am here. It is free.

Can't tell if it is raining, can't see gthe rooftops, still dark. Will talk later on.

YG Report 10 Jul 2011 21:32

Heavens I do think I am too old for these conferences. I absolutely can not stay awake. It is so embarrassing to nod off when you are being spoken to by visiting speakers. I gather I am not the only one. It is OK if the session is interactive and with a bit of humour but scads of info which will not fit into my aged brain just makes my head ache.

We are going out to tea tonight; back into the city to a buffet restaurant. Been there before so it should be fun.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 11 Jul 2011 09:06

HI all, nice and bright here too.

Aunty I nod off at things like that too, sooooooo boring some of them. I am ok with the interactive ones as they tend to be a bit of fun.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 11 Jul 2011 09:34

Just missed you LG - Enjoy the unmentionable if you can :-D

Aunty - those ear plugs you bought, are supposed to help you sleep at night, not in the conference room ! :-D If you have any spares, could you ping them over to Maz? She seems in sore need of them.

How many people live in that house? Sounds over crowded, or is it just me and my middle class/privileged background? It must be so frustrating for you to have so many 'tags' on your building work. Do you have a trusted neighbour or friend who could house-sit for you?

Supposed to be having a day out as the weather is good, but OH is still a-bed and we didn't make any firm plans yesterday.

Hi all.

Our weather is good as well....... so I'm getting the bedding washed while we've got the sun. I hate ironing it though and I've still got yesterday's to iron yet.

Maz, when are your neighbours going?

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 11 Jul 2011 16:33

Well, we are so out of shape, we are cream cracker-ed after a 2 1/2 mile walk around a Country Park - and the terrain wasn't that demanding!

But it was enjoyable and we stopped to chat to an amateur but supervised archaeological group who were excavation a 12C Manor House. Time Team it wasn't, but interesting non the less :-)

Evening all!! I could have claimed the throne last night and the title!!

Just been watering the tomatoes! The beet doesn't look too clever - a bit mishapen, so don't know whether they will be any good. One can but try, lol!! :-D :-D

Maz, when are they going? Enough is enough!!

Pauline, I will send my ironing up to you too!! Hate it!!

DET, sounds as though you had an enjoyable day, even if you are tired out!! You still did better than I would do!!

Pleased you have had a good day with the littlies, LG!, but they are so tiring at that age! My little one is the same, always on the go and wanting me on the go with her!! :-D :-D :-D

Maz, how long are these neighbours being given before being evicted?
