There don't seem to be many posters around now-a-days, do there? :-0

And the look up threads are jumped on by so many its not worth getting involved. Any action is over on Suggestions or Living Relatives. :-0

I'm going to catch up with Torchwood on iPlayer now, as I missed it last night. If I don't, there is the suspicion next week's episode will be as clear as mud. Even OH said it was confusing!

Have you infected her as well? Poor soul! ;-)

Not sure about Torchwood - too polished and of course our Transatlantic cousins will claim all the glory (in the story) :-( You've got no idea what I'm on about, have you? LOL

Sneaking in to curl up on the throne and claim the title while nobody's looking!!

I can have a good night's sleep in here, it is lovely and warm and comfy.

Do not disturb sign hanging on door handle.

No sounds from William. I think he must have dozed off :-)

Think the comment about helping on the searching for Ancestors threads is spot on. That's the problem when something becomes popular. Well I'm not one to spoil anyones fun/occupation/or past times so I will revert to searching for me. Unless of course a question falls into my lap.

OH and I have just sat out in the back yard and had crab and tomato on biscuits for lunch. Spot shared OH's lunch as well, but I was allowed to have my own plate.

I am about to wreck the kitchen in the hope I may, in a few hours time, take a batch or two of cakes out of the oven. Then again I might just make a casserole for tea. Very tired, did not arrive home from footy until midnight last night. Yes, my team lost. We lead for most of the game and gave in towards the end. Lost by 11 points, beaten by a team which is about 8 places above us on the ladder. Their supporters were pretty feral around where we were sitting. Poor dears probably concerned about how close the match was when they should have beaten us easily.

OK off I go to find the kitchen. I know it is in that (Aunty points eastwards) general direction. Catch you later.

Andrew is out with six colleagues on the buses to take the club trip to South shields such a shame as this is the only time that half these kids get out of the area .

LaGooner Report 16 Jul 2011 09:04

Oooooooo Maz I wonder what it can be ?. Such a shame for the little ones but hopefully they will enjoy just being out of the area. I am not doing a lot today (hopefully) just pottering around doing a few chores then probably off to small town for some bits and bobs.

Morning everyone.

Maz, it's tossing it down over here and it's really dark, such a shame for the kids, pity it wasn't yesterday that they went to South Shields.

I wonder what the surprise is........... I hope you come back and tell us.

Hope Aunty didn't get lost in the kitchen.

Morning LG, didn't see you there because I answered the phone before I pressed Submit.

It's horrible here so I'm not going out in it, just going to sit and watch a DVD and drink coffee.

Morning all

Has William got over his 'disability' yet? Is it safe to come out? ;-)

Shame about Auntie's footie team - sounds like BM's Rugby crew - although they did win the Championship this last season.
OH has driven up to London to help him move flat. What a day to choose, although it hasn't started to pour yet. We rather suspect OH will be sent home with a load of washing for BM to collect next weekend.

Sounds as if the weather down-under in Auntie's part of the world is looking up - eating out in the backyard, eh? Stick to the casserole- more nutritious than cakes :-)

AuntySherlock Report 16 Jul 2011 11:50

I really think I have demonstrated my ineptitude in the kitchen. Well it's not my fault I let the potatoes boil dry. OH should have realized I'd sat down and fallen asleep in the middle of cooking tea. Just because it was my turn to cook doesn't mean he can read his book and not keep an eye on the progress of the meal.

I tipped the taters out of their burnt pot cut off the black bits and then fried them. Helps mask that slightly barbecued flavour. Casserole and the peas were OK.

We have had quite lovely day time weather here. Temperatures hovering between 2 and 4 degrees in the morning and then up to 15 in the middle of the day. Worry not, the rain is on its way.

He'd say that you need to practice more. And besides, the charred bits are good for the digestion :-D

Now that my OH takes turn with the cooking, there is one fact I can't get over to him.........portion control! He forgets that cos I'm littler, I don't need so much as him, even though I'd eat it. Then he pokes my spare tyre and asks where that came from :-0

AuntySherlock

AuntySherlock Report 16 Jul 2011 13:56

You have the same problem as I do then. Man size portions. OH says, but you eat it all no matter how much I put on your plate. My response is that I don't wish to hurt your feelings. His alternative is well if you can't eat it all the dog will have it. No wonder Spot is the size of a walrus.

One evening, after a major hissy fit on my part on the exact same point of view, I was called to the dinner table to be greeted by a dinner plate containing three solitary peas and a sliver of meat about the size of a teaspoon. I was told to eat up or I would not get any dessert. Men!!!
