AuntySherlock Report 27 Jul 2011 21:49

We have your weather....... 20 degrees today, or near enough. It is not even freezing.

Maz, I wonder could it be your neighbours are busy packing up ready to leave. If they do we will have a street party to farewell them, with all the familiar Nut Lodge traditions. Pink custard, flying omelets, cyberpets and lots of bottles of red and white drinking stuff.

I know you are waiting for the mouse news. Stupid is the word to describe it. The minute I wake up in the morning I rush out to the kitchen and inspect the battle ground. Fully loaded and baited traps, no bodies. Tonight I will write out an instruction sheet and stick it on the bench. Must away, better make a more timely entrance to work than I did yesterday.

Hmm..not sure it Maz' warm is my warm.

BM's current squeeze is from oop norf, not far from Pauline's actually, but re-located nearer Leeds. I always seem to be asking her if she wants to borrow a cardi/jumper when they come round. She is happy in short sleeves, while I'm hunting for the fleece. Brrr.

And Aunty's 20c is our current summer, or close enough :-( Can mice read???

Finger's crossed Maz has another quiet night - perhaps they have done a moonlight flit, or else got rid of extra house guests.

RockyMountainShy Report 27 Jul 2011 22:43

Well of course mice can read, thats why the eat cheese to improve their eye sight .

AUNTY gave back our summer :-P :-P You need to keep your seasons straight.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 27 Jul 2011 23:18

Evening LG - good to know YG is ok. Thank you for letting us know. At least the intrepid wanderers can make final arrangements by text for next week.

Do you know - that RMS is a cut and run merchant ;-)

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 27 Jul 2011 23:21

If she doesn't get back on tomorrow I will text her and check what is going on.

I know RMS cuts and runs :-D. She doesn't read her emails either methinks :-D :-D

RockyMountainShy

RockyMountainShy Report 27 Jul 2011 23:27

Hey I'm that kind of person - can never pin me down. :-D It is far better that way.

Are you sending e-mails again???? Gee I'll go see.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 27 Jul 2011 23:27

Sharp intake of breathe.............she doesn't read her EMAILS ???

There might be something terribly important in them - such as she has been invited, all expenses paid, to the Queen's garden party at Buck House!!!

Do ya'think she'll come back now, or gorn off for lunch/tea or whatever :-D

Edit - posted at the same time. Someone's ears must have been burning - lol

RockyMountainShy

RockyMountainShy Report 27 Jul 2011 23:33

Gee, she's right she did e-mail me :-0

QUeens garden party mmmmmmmmmmmmmm would have to think about that one. Would I have to wear a dress or can I wear my pants? ;-)

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 27 Jul 2011 23:35

I'd wear my favourite shirt, scarf and hat with crown rammed on the top LOL. I ain't gorn yet :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 27 Jul 2011 23:38

Of course you should wear pants.

These colonials. Are you all naturalists??? Letting the air circulate may be beneficial, but nor particularly hygienic for other people who sit on the seat after you have left it. ;-)

Now a big floppy hat, or even the fascinator which is more like a yo-yo the number of times Maz keeps getting our hopes up, would be most appropriate.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 27 Jul 2011 23:42

H'actually. My line manager went to one last year. She wasn't allowed to take in any cameras or camera/phones which was a real shame.

But she did get to meet the Queen and assorted Royals. One of the few advantages of being wheelchair bound.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 27 Jul 2011 23:42

:-D :-D :-D :-D DET.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 27 Jul 2011 23:43

RockyMountainShy

RockyMountainShy Report 27 Jul 2011 23:46

There I replied :-P <3

A HAT :-0 Then forget it. :-S

After that flight, I might need a wheelchair.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 27 Jul 2011 23:47

LOL RMS are you not a hat sort of person like me. Excluding my footie hat that is :-D
