Enjoy your lunch today Maz. Tell Andrew he should be thankful for the extra earning opportunity! Why does he need his shirt starched? Won't a clean ironed white shirt do??

Not sure what, if anything, we will do. Supposed to be warm this afternoon, but its rather grey at the moment.

Hi everybody.

Don't think the weather can make it's mind up what to do today.

Sounds like you had an enjoyable lunch yesterday, DET. Good company, good food and good weather.

The forecast for next Wednesday is here...

http://www.weather-forecast.com/locations/Chester-le-Street/forecasts/latest

Sunny in the morning and showers in the afternoon, but mild.

Hi All,

The score:

Mouse 1
Humans 0

I saw it this morning. I am quite sure it waved at me just before it scuttled under the fridge.

I am really going to have to move the fridge.

I found a web site with family history stuff on it including info about some of OHs rellies I am researching. Half the info was wrong. Very poor researching.

Lovely weather here lately until it started raining today. Hopefully it will be fine for the footy tomorrow evening.

Hello!!! I'm back!!! I feel as though my arm has been cut off!!

Mmm, long story >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> engineer phoned yesterday afternoon to my mobile to say he would be there in half an hour!! I'm at work, says I, but if you need access ring me and I'll be home in five minutes. He rang at 3.30 to say he needed access but couldn't wait as he isn't allowed any overtime so would call this morning at 8.15. Came home, two engineers working next door fixing all the cables back to the wall. Can you do mine, says I, no, sorry you'll have to make another appointment. Stuff that, I already know he's coming tomorrow morning, but I have to get the car to the garage for 8am for mot and service. Well, I sorted that out with a friend and we both came back to wait. He duly arrived very promptly and after five minutes investigation discovered that some kind soul has stolen all the cables!!

Not just that, but they must have done it whilst I was sat in the lounge actually using the internet at the time!!

My lounge window is recessed back from the rest of the exterior wall, so I can only see the front gate. They must have come in the side gate and walked round, ripped it from the wall, and as it extends along above the lounge window to next door's house, they must have tugged at it to free it rather than pass the window. That is why my neighbours cables were hanging over the front garden,

I must admit that it has unnerved me a bit, to know that they were outside yards from me and I didn't even know.

Anyway, I am up and running again!!

Any relations to Maz' neighbours, do you think? Sends shivers down me spine just thinking about it. Just as well you are more security conscious than you used to be.

Anyway, glad you are back. And you're on holiday now? Yippee!!!

PS - check your PM's - some bloke contacted me about your Nellie Ellis and the Smelts as I'd corrected an Ancestry transcript.

Glad you had a good day Maz - sounds like day trips for pleasure, not work!

Thank you for the welcome back!

Have just been busy answering you DET and e-mailing my cousin in Oz! I understand now about the corrections!

I am off out tonight to son & dils for supper!! Oh joy!! It's the annual ritual of 'come and have supper Mum and collect your pressies as we are away|(yet again!!) when it is your bday'. At least I am hoping to come home with some new long handled garden shears!!!! Just in nice time for my naked gardener who is coming on Monday!! That is if I have any money left when I have payed the bill for the car tomorrow!! They hadn't got the bill ready when I collected the car tonight, so have to go back tomorrow! They let me take the car anyway! But then one of the mechanics lives next door to me, so i can't run far!!!

Hi All, Poured with rain last night. Very wet and cold this morning. I am sure the world has tipped upside down. As soon as I have done shopping this morning I am off to work work. Need to finish off last week's mess.

YG. Can you not secure your cables in a piece of conduit. That's the stuff which covers telephone and other cables. It is very easy to do. Just secure it along the wall under the window ledge etc. It makes it harder to pull the wires away from the wall.

You could also stick bird spikes around it. That'll give them an additional challenge. I would be very wary of leaving the repaired wires the same as before. They know they are available for the taking.

I have to do some Ireland searching. I might need to read Teresa's Irish board again.

Well I survived the evening with the dil. Actually she was very pleasant and chatty tonight.

Had Chinese for supper and cleared my plate, like a good girl. The little one was absolutely adorable, as always and even the 'almost teenager' was full of smiles tonight. Was it something in the air, I wonder!

Aunty, that is a good idea about the conduit. I might just have a word with my naked gardener on Monday as he is also very useful at doing odd jobs (no comments from your wayward minds, thank you!)
