Hello again, just been out with Yidarmyass to our local historical society outing. No only a couple of nights away this time YG then we are off for 6 days next week to Derbyshire,

DET we only got to Bradford on Avon from the places you gave me,but took some photos of the town if you want copies.

Just getting these tins of paint into the throne room to redecorate to my standard :-D :-D :-D

Hi All, The hardware stores have reported a shortage of red paint. They also said their cans of red and white striped paint seemed to have disappeared. Some rumour about an Arsenal support trying to renovate a stately home of England!!!

I've taken note of your search items DET and I will have a look this evening. I have the film until September so plenty of time. Thanks for the offer LG. I have solved my main problem in Wiltshire, now I am taking note of anything which looks like it might fit into my tree. Do you have any questions or a date range on your Powneys.

You lot would have fallen about laughing if you had seen my first attempts at using a microfilm reader thingy. Well, how was I to know you could enlarge the size of the print on the screen. There I was feeling so very disappointed because I couldn't read all this teeny, weeny, handwritten writing on the screen. I moaned, out loud I'm pleased to say, oh no I can't read this. A nice gentleman came over and pushed the lever and said, you have to enlarge the image. Duh!!!!

And before I go!! Today's temperature will be 25 degrees. A Woo Hoo Hoo. It is the middle of winter. Spring is not for another four weeks. It is the hottest August day since whenever. Must be something to do with global warming.

Oo, LG's back :-D Like YG, I thought you weren't coming back until tomorrow.

Look, don't bother getting your colour scheme back in place: we'll only change again as soon as your back is turned! The gang are going to source more non red and white soft furnishings while they are out on the town tomorrow ;-)

Photos? When you're ready.. Thank you

Strawberries (innocent look) It weren't me, must have William cos he is a vegetarian.

Lol @ Aunty! If it's an consolation, I *still* need help putting a film in. Can't stand those square fiche things - they move too quickly on the screen :-(

Don't put away the jumpers just yet - you may need them next week

Aunty if I had you looking for my problem Powneys you would be tearing your hair out LOL. I havesome early (1700 ish) Powneys with not much info on them. The one I would love to find is the burial of Jacob Powney . He died 1891 in Lacock?? I found quite a few of them and photographed headstones and abodes so now need the time to upload them onto my tree. Have you access to Wiltshire records then ? as I am searching for a Moses Breach found son and grandson both Moses too but no sign of him,
Det I will send them to you when I am not so tired .If I try now I will probably ***** them up completely :-D.

Morning everyone.

I'm almost ready for the off!! Forecast on tv for 'oop norf' looked good last night, but I'm not banking on it!!!!

There are to be sunny periods here today, but with heavy thunder storms and torrential rain coming from the Wash right up the eastern side into North Yorkshire, so if it's good in CLS I will certainly be coming home to it!!! Not complaining, as the garden is desperate!

I've told everyone to send out the search parties if I am not back here by 7.30pm!! They know I'm not fit to be out on my own lol!! :-D

Safe journey to the three of you, and fingers crossed you avoid the rain! LG and I will send out the search parties if you don't put in an appearance this evening.

Have a wonderful time, and if there are reports of mature ladies causing a riot at the fire-station, we will know who is responsible ;-)

Re the Wiltshire records. I have access to parish records for Wiltshire, well one reel of them until September. I did not realize how much information would be on them. While I have access to them I figure I might as well take a looksee what I can find, hence the questions.

I am going back again tonight to finish looking at one reel, and then I have another one to view as well, but that one I think is from the USA. Can't remember.

I have noted down your queries and while I am looking if I see anything interesting I will make copious notes.

Beautiful warm day here today but sky is clouding over and rain on the horizon.

Morning all. Hoping the three intrepid travellers have a good day. If the helicopter takes off quickly from the airfield I will know they are up to no good. I have told them by text to bring back some piccies so they should be interesting ;-).
Aunty,
My family in Wiltshire have become almost a one name study as I have found so many graves etc with the name. If I may I will go through my main branch and get you to see if they are anywhere in sight the rest will probably turn up when they are good and ready :-D. Are there any particular villages that you are interested in on your branch as I have quite a few photos of the churches etc. Also what names are yours, we might tie in somewhere as they are qute tight knit communities down there, in fact I have several members of a certain family marrying into my branch.

Hi all, just letting you know I'm back home. I had to be back early, so I've left Maz and YG sitting in the beer garden of a pub.

It's been a beautiful day, we were very lucky with the weather.............. wall to wall sunshine.

YG and Maz have a few hours left to relax or have a wander around. I think they'll get home at about 7 or 8 this evening.

We had a good day and a lovely meal........ well, they gave YG the wrong meal and it had to go back, but she got the right one eventually.

Got to go, be back later.

Evening everyone!!! I'm back!!! Call off the search parties!!

Had a lovely day. Weather already been reported on!! There were a few drops of rain leaving CLS, but it was a lovely evening in Newcastle and dry all the way back. There has been plenty of rain here at home by the look of it but I have missed it. At least it was dry for me to walk back to the car.

The cats looked at me in disgust, stuffed their faces and retired to sleep, so I think I am in the bad books there lol!!!

Didn't see one fireman but had a good long chat in thebeer garden. I am not commenting on our alcoholic intake!!
