Welcome home YG. I think I either have a cold coming or else Hayfever type snivels from rooting around the graveyard pulling away Ivy etc. The dust was awful so I am hoping it is the latter. OH is ok but still suffering from the vicious stinging nettles :-D. I was wise and left him to fight through those ;-)

Mine sniffles seem to be easing off again now. It is much cooler now, so I don't know whether that makes any difference! It was very humid earlier on.

I am just going to catch up on the news and then off to bed.

Morning all. Lovely to see you are all back safely and had an enjoyable day. Sniffles could be a change of atmosphere. I don't think alcohol causes hay fever. Our rain arrived last night, not too heavy but we are back to coolish weather.

Now my Wiltshire search. I did not get very far into the reel, I did find a few items which fit my search.

On one page between the ink blots I did see Pow...scribble. Went cross eyed trying to make it out. That needs another look.

For DET I only spotted the burial of Sarah wife of Bernard Bench 6/8/1795. Yes Bench not Breach.

LG my search is for Ranger and Target(t). I have found more marriages and baptisms but have not put them into any order yet.

I plan to go back and do more looking. The more I look at the images the easier it becomes to read them. I am now an authority on ink blots and 18th century scribble.

Oh and PS. We need to be careful discussing family history research on this thread. They will frown at the genealogical content and make us move it to the Genealogy Chat board.

Morning DET. I am still trying to sort photos for you. I did make a start last night but did not get very far as I ended up being led up the garden path with 4 residents of a grave. What I first thought was parents and their 2 children ended up being Brother,sister and their 2 nieces :-(

Don't worry about the photos LG - there is no urgency and it can wait until you get back from grave hunting part 2!

You're luck to find headstone, let alone find them listed in burial records. Count your blessings ;-)

morning folks well he usually comes back browner than he went I am stuck cos packing means creating chaos and then Plonks himself down until he goes though I will be out when he leaves Froggy is coming down for a few days and we are going to sort out some clutter he is going to make some shelves for me .

And it's definitely showery here!!! Dry first thing this morning but as soon as I hung out the washing it started!! Looks as though it is going to be in for the day, so the unmentionable has beckoned, but it is tea break time right now!!
