LaGooner Report 14 Aug 2011 19:48

Sorry YG it's not able to be washed off. It's my own brew paint nothing will shift it :-D

Strolls on to thread with a jumbo tin of extra thick, quick drying white emulsion. A few coats of that will soon sort out the (ahem) colour scheme.

Glad YG and LG had the 'pleasure' of the younger generation recently. And best wishes to YG's neighbour - she must be a lovely lady to have made such a good impression on you.

Poor Maz - a glutton for punishment with washer women's hands :-0 Still, they say if you want something done, ask a busy woman.

Well, if she tries to make us all wear a red and white striped uniform, it would certainly feel that way ;-)

(paints over red with white anti-graffiti gloss - that should hold her) :-P

AuntySherlock Report 15 Aug 2011 08:53

Did LG say how her shopping expedition went. How many red and white outfits did she end up with. Aunty casually sprays rock solid lacquer over the quiet and dignified pastel colours.

My team. Oh heavens what a game. We lost. Well we had to lose. The thirteenth team in the comp does not play the second team and win, well not very often.

Not only were we playing against the opposition we also played against the umpires. They are probably lucky the crowd was content with booing their dreadful decisions.

We only lost by 11 points, (or 1 goal 5 points). Considering this team has beaten its last two opponents by total of 306 points, it was a really good effort. Not quite good enough but close. Or as Maxwell Smart would say, "Missed by that much!!"

Maz why does A have so much washing?? It is A is it not. It sounds like you are washing for an army platoon. You are excellent. If it were me he would be down the laundromat with a pocket full of dollar coins (his by the way).

Morning all -

- that wasn't too bad for a loss Aunty so perhaps the caretaker coach is having some impact. Pity about the Umpires :-0

We tried to stuff more personal papers in the filing drawers yesterday with little success. Now OH has decided we need to thin it down. we were luck that the shredder didn't blow up!

This morning I've been through the 'where shall we put this?' tray and got rid of a few more bits of paper...and unearthed my copies of the train ticket claim form back from May. I'll have to chase them up :-(

Evening all, I have just come in from the garden. Phew it is in such a mess the lawns were both very long so I have got them cut and a very overgrown shrub cut down. Hopefully I will be able to get out there again tomorrow and tackle the borders.

And may I add what is wrong with red and white stripes :-(. Perhaps you would prefer spots :-D

Mazfromnorf

Mazfromnorf Report 15 Aug 2011 18:34

evening I can supply the spots in white and blue we could all stand with a paint brush and flick it at the walls lol like the modern art that would be good fun .I have cut a rose bush down back to the roots so I have achieved all that was on my list today

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 15 Aug 2011 18:39

BLUE!!!!!!!! Never :-P :-P :-P :-P. My shrub was a Philadelphus (mock orange) it is a beautiful shrub but so overgrown that it was about 12 feet tall and only had flowers at the very top this year. So me being killer Queen I decided to shout, off with it's head LOL. It is now about 3 feet tall and lovely and tidy.

YG

YG Report 15 Aug 2011 18:57

I see we are all into cutting back overgrown shrubs!! I had ny large unwieldy hydrangea chopped right back when my naked gardener was here! (no comments thank you!!)

I bought a mock orange last year, LG, but the harsh winter killed it dead as a dodo!! Don't know whether I dare try another!!

Well, the first day over with thank goodness! Still reeling a bit with this head cold so was not impressed with almost 200 e-mails to go through!! That will teach me to take two weeks off!!

Mazfromnorf Report 15 Aug 2011 18:59

well done lol
it is cooling down here but has been a lovely day .wonder how YG got on at work i think she was back today

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 15 Aug 2011 19:06

Hi YG. My shrub has been with me for about 20 years now and in a quite sheltered corner so it was not killed thank goodness. I now have a very large climbing Hydrangea to tackle as it has gone absolutely potty and taken over not only my garden but next doors too :-D.

I had loads of emails when I got back off holiday most of them were absolute rubbish :-)

Mazfromnorf

Mazfromnorf Report 15 Aug 2011 19:24

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 15 Aug 2011 20:23

I have to prune one of the Roses very carefully as it is the Original Brownie Rose that all the other ones have been cuttings from. It belongs to the Brownie Unit but it is in my care whilst I am in charge. Oh woe betide if I kill it :-0 :-S

RockyMountainShy

RockyMountainShy Report 15 Aug 2011 21:41

A Brownie Rose ! :-0

Glad we don't have one of those. It would never last in my care. :-S

YG

YG Report 15 Aug 2011 21:53

It wouldn't last with me either RMS, especially if I pruned it!!
