Yep, it's been the same here Maz, in fact it's still pretty wild.

Pleased to see you're feeling a little better LG but don't go overdoing it, the work can wait.

I'M BACK !!!!!! :-D :-D

Sorry to hear you've been unwell again LG - you seem to very keen to hang on to what ever is going; just don't share it with the rest of us as well, please. Hope you manage to shake it off quickly.

Great to read that YG has managed to book a holiday. You ought to have a wonderful time and will enjoy being waited on hand and foot.

Our break away from home was good, even though the weather wasn't much to write about - all sunshine and showers and quite blustery at times. But what do you expect from the SW???

I didn't manage to persuade OH to visit family graveyards, but as he did all the driving (nearly 1000 miles by the time we reached home) didn't fuss. We are all historical houses and castled out, having taken advantage of our cards for NT and English Heritage. I think we've had our monies worth this year!

Morning all - back to reality today. Yesterday was spent mainly slumped in exhaustion in an armchair, with brief forays into the garden between showers to tidy up after the winds.

Hopefully YG and LG are feeling a bit better today - OH has come down with a cold aka Man Flu, so someone didn't use the disinfectant spray on the cyber hatch :-0

Maz, perhaps you ought to stop ironing all of A's laundry; then perhaps he will wear at least some of his casual clothes twice, or accept un-ironed clothing!!! Although I could insist PC does her own laundry, its easier if I do it, so as not to overload the washing line or indoor drier if it coincides with ours.

Good evening. I do hope you are all behaving yourselves. Sounds decidedly germy around this place.

You want to know how the cleaning is going, don't you??!! How very nice of you to ask. The cleaning is going, and going, and going. It is like one of those enormous dominoes sequence things. You push one and the next one falls then the next and the next. Likewise, I clean one thing and then look around and something else needs doing. I do that and oh looky something else needs doing.

A bit embarrassing at work when I picked up a cloth and started wiping the handmarks off the door. Nevermind they know I'm eccentric, loony or just plain odd.

OK. Enough of the cleaning now Aunty needs to tell you what else she has been up to. I should start this once upon a time, back in March..........

While I was helping Blondie rebuild her house I stopped going to the gym. When renovations were completed and rental sorted out I started with the body torture classes again. It took me a while to sort out which classes I wanted to do. No half measures, or dipping the toe in to test the depth of the water, in the deep end goes Aunty. Gym junkie Granny they call me.

Well now there is no sense in wasting all that physical activity so next Sunday I will be participating in the City to Bay Fun Run. Now forget the "run" word. I will be walking the twelve kilometres. And that is 7.456 miles in your language. Hmm think I might stick with the miles it don't sound half as far.

For the last few months I have been walking distances varying between 2 and 9.5 km. I am hoping to do the 12 km in under two hours. It is five years since I did anything as daft as this, and I am quite excited about the adventure. It will be interesting to be one of around 30,000 participants.

I have scrubbed the bathroom and toilet floors this evening. That will do for now. I get to play with the computer for being a good girl.

Not heard from the visitors for a while. Wouldn't it be funny if they didn't turn up. Don't you dare laugh! Anyway at least the housework will be done for a few years!!

Evening all and >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Welcome back Aunty!! You have been sorely missed!!!

Oh, I hope you are feeling fit for this long walk! I don't envy you! But well done for entering!!

I did a 6 mile obstacle course at Chatsworth House some years ago (more than I care to remember - well about 19 to be precise!!) Got roped in at work by the boss who volunteered all of us and he backed out after the first 3 mile lap!! We were climbing brick walls, wading round the moat, running in and out of tyres, 'running' up hill and down dale. I was absolutely b****y knackered when I had finished!! Started in brand new trainers, leggings and t-shirt and was caked in mud by the time we finished!

Maz, teach A how to do the ironing himself! He has to learn sometime!!

DET, please keep your OH at home with his man flu!! I don't want his germs and can't cope with men who are sick!!

Its the great north run here this weekend A is driving on it ,
Aunty well done on the cleaning and the excercise

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 14 Sep 2011 20:59

Evening all - just a brief visit before WDYTYA.

Keep up the training Aunty - 2 hours seems a fast pace, but achievable. Are you doing it for charitable sponsorship??? It ought to be great fun if there are a bunch of you and your friends walking together. Fingers crossed its not too hot/cold/wet and all on the flat ;-)

I think I did a 10 mile walk accompanying students a few years ago - being a 'stroller', I brought up the rear with the stragglers. The Leader had to give me the map because we were so slow! I was so stiff by the time I got home, it was unbelievable. :-0

Don't worry too much about the floor scrubbing; it will probably need washing again before they arrive - if they do. Strange that she hasn't contacted you with a firm date. Can you get hold of her to chase her up?

Anyone seen LG recently? Hope she is OK

Thanks for your thanks. Just had words with OH. Rotten man. I spent hours scrubbing and cleaning the bathroom. Now he wants to have a shower. Can you believe it! I really tought he should go outside and hose himself down and entertain the neighbours.

Re the "race". We pay an entrance fee which partly goes to charity . If you would like to read about it just google "city to bay adelaide sa".

Glad you are busy rather than ill LG. And Maz, if you have regular school shifts, you'll have to let us know - it can get rather confusing!

We are/were supposed to be going shopping today, but OH is considering returning to bed after snuffling a request for aspirins. Something else for the list as I'd been through the medicines a couple of weeks ago and thrown out all the out of date ones!

Aunty - just praise OH's cleaning efforts and try and turn a blind eye. ;-) Hopefully the visitor won't try and turn up on Walk Day.
