My washer earns it's keep as well Maz, it's about 4 years old and it's on a couple of times every day. I prefer my washing to dry outside but we get a lot of rain here. It's rained on and off all day today.

Well done Auntie, you definitely deserve a biscuit after that.

Well done Aunty!! I think you deserve two biscuits lol :-D

It has been a lovely day here today, warm enough to sit out if only I had had the time!! Finished the weeding and edging, then went to buy a new cat bed and vacuum cleaner!! Decisions, decisions! i have chosen successfully for the vacuum, not so sure about the bed, although Duffy seems to appreciate it!

I have overdone the gardening this weekend and my shoulder is complaining bitterly, so am off for a hot soak before sitting down for dinner. My favourite programme is back on tonight at 9pm so will be glued to it!!

Evening - just a flying visit before an early night.

Great news that you've caught up with those 'tomorrow' jobs LG. I've ground to a halt after a brief burst of energy. :-0 It's soooo boring, and the computer a wonderful way to while away the hours.

Catch you in the morning if you're around.

morning all
so that was the weekend here we go again just having cuppa while the kitchen floor dries .
i start at 9.30 today all the deliveries are in so they who dont want me are busy lol

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 19 Sep 2011 09:41

Morning all - Maz, even though they don't need you, we do! And at least it means you have time to do the necessary.

OH has serviced the broomstick, and it ought to be on its way back to you now LG. Watch out that it doesn't crash into a window!!!

Not sure what is on the cards for today. The grass needs cutting if it dries out. That's normally OH's job, but if he is still congested, I may have to do it.

And I really need a haircut before Friday. We are going to my cousin's daughter's wedding, which I'm not looking forward to now. We are being sat on a table with the grooms Aunt/Uncle and their family and we aren't v good at small talk. Never mind, its the happy couple's day, not ours. My 2nd cousin who lives in NZ has come over for the wedding as well - she is only 10 years younger than me.........the generations have slipped because of my mum's large number of siblings! But because of a family rift, I feel we have been sidelined, even though we have been invited. And that's probably because the mother of the Bride is Eldests' godmother and we invited her to Eldests' wedding. Perhaps I'm being paranoid (again) :-0

Morning one and all. It's ok DET the broomstick ran out of power and glided into the back garden. No damage done except one mighty spooked cat :-D. I don't do much small talk in that situation either,just go and prop up the bar and enjoy ;-). Well here I am up in the office attempting to look busy :-0

Greetings to you all. Quick message. Have had a phone call from the visitors and because of things what has been happening outside of our sphere of influence they have rearranged their visit and will now be with us on Saturday morning.

We pick them up from the airport at 8.30 am and they stay with us until Sunday evening when we take them to their next destination .

I now have to round up my brood and put forth a royal proclamation that they attend here for lunch on Sunday. Must have a book of ettiquette for new family somewhere in my bookcase.

This is quite exciting. And yes, I will probably sleep through the visit. I am knackered!!!

Hello Aunty, nice to see you. Just curl up in the corner and snooze for a while :-D

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 19 Sep 2011 17:11

Woo Hoo - great news Aunty! You've done the deep clean, so OH ought to be able to keep on top of the surface stuff now. If you haven't already done so, have you thought of putting together a small album of OH and his adoptive parents and their siblings? After all, they are her lost family as well. Get a good rest while you can - the Walk probably has knocked you out for a day or so.

I've had a cutting day - hair and both front and back lawns, so I'm knackered and OH can cook. He did manage to flit around with the vac, so is on the mend.

Evening.

Been a pretty good day for getting the washing dry, just got it all to iron now.......... yuk.

Is that sunflower from your garden DET?

Edit: Oops, just seen that bit about your sunflower at the bottom of your post, DET.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 19 Sep 2011 18:11

Evening Pauline - yes, it was one from the front garden. I've been editting and naming the photos we uploaded after our hols. I had to ask next door if I could take pics of the sunflowers in the back - permission granted " You can come and look at your sunflowers any time" :-D The heads greeted the rising sun, then stayed there :-(

YG Report 19 Sep 2011 18:35

Evening all.

I love the sunflower too DET! Well done!!

It's been reasonably pleasant here today, what little I have seen of it!!

We have VIPs at work tomorrow, so best behaviour!! At least we haven't been told to 'suit and boot'! Good job, as I don't have a suit and I'm sure not buying one!! It's the same about clean, tidy desks. They are funding us, so do they not want to see us busy with lots of papers!!
