Mice, hamsters and rats all look the same to me............ little beasties with fur and teeth. It's probably too big for a mouse, so yes - I think it is a hamster. It's probably building it's muscles up so it can free the mice from the traps.

Well it was a hamster. A powerhouse hamster. I might go back to him he was very topical right now.

Good to see you all enjoyed your day out. I have spent the day pottering about the house, mainly on the computer and sorting photos. Tried to buy some more albums but couldn't find what I wanted.

Please the wallet was found. I am a great optomist when it comes to losing things. Always the chance it might turn up.


Many years ago, lets say more than 50, my mother bought an Italian china fruit/cake/whatever stand. Three triangular fairly deep china dishes held together in a wooden stand, sort of like a pyramid. It travelled around Australia with the family, was chipped and repaired and I inherited it more than 25 years ago. Again one bit got broken and it was reduced to a two bowl stand.

It sat in the corner of my dining room. Yesterday evening Spot walked between it and OH, changed his mind and turned around and.............
I saw it fall gracefully across the tiled floor, smashing into tiny pieces as the china bits hit the floor. Spot went and sat quietly in a corner while OH and I swept up the mess. Well, said I, we won't be glueing that back together again. OH has put the wooden pieces to one side and I will now be searching antique and junk shops for a replacement, however it won't be quite the same. Bother!!!

Sorry to hear about the cake stand, but at least it is one less item for your offspring to fight over/wonder who has the courage to dispose of it when your time comes. So is today the last day of half term? And did you manage to keep away from the office or work work?

It was a good day out, even though it was a little damp. Not quite raining enough to put up brollies, but wet in the air sort of thing. We had coffee in a couple of places, and lunch in another and chewed the proverbial fat. The other's bought china mugs off a market stall - you can guess what icons LG and YAL chose - and I bought a fiction book. Apart from chatting, we spent a lot of time browsing and saying in even in the discounted shops 'who'd spend that on a XX' ;-)

Still not happy with it. But it will do.
Thank goodness you are incorrect. I still have another week of holidays to go. Don't go back until 17 Oct. Think I'm having a derimental affect on OH being home all t he time. He has decided he needs to do something (underlined, bolded and italics) and is going fishing with a mate. Taking Spot with him so that gives me three days of being boss of the house before I choof off with the girls for three days.

Oh ha, big deal. I have one more day's work work I need to catch up on, a hair appointment, packing to do, etc etc. So to answer your question no I did not manage to keep away from the office but I have been there a lot less than I would normally, so that is an improvement.

Right now I am off to bed.

Since then I have been busy. Had to catch up on yesterday's chores and do the food shopping. Now it is 'chill' time whilst dinner is cooking!

morning all ,
what fun lol I had boiler went off last night would not ignite so arranged a visit for a repair today .and to lose an afternoon at work .then out of daftness as i could not be bothered to boil the kettle umpteen times this morning i tried it .it is now working so now I am wondering if the gas was cut off outside somewhere last night lol .
My cold is very mature now so I am not sure if i will be visiting a client today i will phone the boss later for his advice .
