Morning - sounds as if the sticky tape has come unstuck again. Why don't they email all members then shut down for 24/48 hours while they get it fixed? They could easily extend the renewal date for everyone, which shouldn't make too much of an impact on their income.

Busy day today - cleaning, shopping and cooking. We have once-a-year- visitors coming to lunch tomorrow. Even OH has got up early (for him) although it will probably be his turn for an afternoon snooze.

Morning DET. Busy day here today too. I want the hallway finished floor and all by Sunday evening. We will spend all day Sunday putting down the laminate flooring . Oh what fun !!! Don't you wish you could have such an exciting day :-D :-D

Hope your knees can take the strain, or will you be in charge of encouragement and refreshment? LOL

Don't you mean nagging and refreshment :-D. I help with the marking up and cutting whilst OH grovels at my feet ;-)

Evening all, I am now sat down for the evening, except for giving OH his tea when he gets in :-D. The smell of paint here is awful and my throat feels really raggy because of it. Never mind it looks really good now.

Evening LG. Pleased that you have finished the painting. I know what you mean about the smell!! The gloss paint always goes to my chest, so I hope you don't go down with anything again!!! You still have to supervise the laying of that floor!! ;-) ;-) ;-)

Oooo I can't wait I can't stand the look of it now. Bare floor here is not nice as it is chipboard YUK :-P.

Oh ha LG. Laminate flooring installation was one of the skills I learned during blondies renovations. Have you done it before. Are you using the tongue and groove type boards.
If so have the benefit of my vast experience. The first row of boards must be fitted perfectly together. The joins must be a thin seamless line. Once you get that correct the rest fall into place. Oh hearty ha ha. Do not progress any further until the row of boards fits perfectly. You will only have to undo your work. Sometimes it helps to have one person stand on one end of the row while the other person completes the row.
Don't forget to stagger the side joins and watch the cutting of the size of the boards for the ends. Measure carefully so the gap between the wall and the floor is the same along the wall side. A knee pad is very handy and do not under any circumstances use a hammer to knock the boards into place. Once you damage the side of the board you might as well chuck it.

OH put laminate flooring in 2 of the bedrooms. The wall colour was bluer after he had finished than when he started! He could have benefited from the advice about the wall ends of the planks - there are still small parts next to doors where the finishing edge strips aren't properly secured to the wainscot.

Re the illegitimacy - after 1911 Sep quarter, if the mothers mn is the same as the child, its a good bet that the child is illegitimate. Not 100% but close enough. Except in, say. Wales were a Mr Jones might have married a Miss Jones :-0 Prior to that, you'd have to buy the suspect BC or find a baptism record.
