By the way I have to sit with Spot and hold his paw when the fireworks or thunder is around. And yes we used to have wonderful Guy Fawkes nights with bonfires, crackers, and food when we were kids. Making the bonfire was half the fun.

morning all Half way through the chores here washing ,loos etc ,I darnt write too many fairy tales as there some FH buffs in this area of my work .
We have plenty of firemen ,Aunty , but we do have an abundance of Paramedics in helmets leathers ,bikers too strong arms soft voices very nice lol
I am about to clear the kitchen and wash the floor one cat is asleep the other is out lol you watch wet floor and both will appear

Hi All, And especially hi to Sue Maid with an apology. I did not realize you were from this side of the planet. Shows how observant I am.

We will have to put our heads together and plot the overthrow of the Nut Lodge throne room while they are all asleep over there. We need to pinch the broomstick and the laser as well. Not tonight though. I'm far too tired to be gallivanting across the continents. Anyway I think YG took back her knicker elastic which helps launch the catapult . Until I am able to source some more cyber travel is a bit curtailed.

Would you lot over there please keep your wet weather to yourselves. It is trying to rain and be hot at the same time here. It is like being in a sauna. It is persistently raining right now, my poor strawberries will be getting wet.

Hi Maz, your cats sound like our Spot. As soon as "tea's ready" is uttered, or the plates go on the table, he is there with that hopeful gleam in his eye. And yes there is nothing he likes better than a cleanly washed floor to lie on.

Hi ya! A long, but enjoyable, morning at work work - the on line tests wouldn't load so they had to rebook them for later in the morning. Am I bovered? Not at an hourly rate, I'm not :-D ;-)

Hair cut and dry cleaning collected, then a late lunch and the Sudoku while OH played on the PC.

Are we going to have weather forecasts from Sue Maid as well? That will be two people rubbing our noses in it. Don't think we'd enjoy having Hot, wet weather - that normally signals the end of a 2 day heat wave for us!

Aunty, I have lots of new 'knicks' now packed in my case ready for the off!! You can have plenty of elastic when I return from my travels!!

The problem is that you won't get very far with it. They don't make it like they used to!!

Maz, sounds as though you are having fun in your new job! It is taking some getting used to when you don't post first thing in the morning!!

If you've got lots of new knicks now........... you'll be able to take the elastic out of the old ones and send it off to Aunty before you go on holiday, she'll be able to catapult some sunshine over to us.

Evening all, what a day !. No DET floor is not quite finished yet as Oh is having bother seeing well. He is back at the eye clinic tomorrow morning to see if they can sort it.
Oh goody a new stock of elastic the stuff in the catapult is getting rather perished and we shall need it to send gifts over the waters to friends in different lands. Oh and of course to bombard Aunty to stop her taking over Nutlodge :-P :-P

Morning all. My person in charge is going to see an Aunty hissy fit when I arrive at work work this morning. In the rating of cross I am approaching flaming well fuming.

I was woken at 11.30 pm by a phone call from security to tell me a door was open and needed to be closed. Mistakes happen sometimes so I hop in my car drive there lock the door.

This hasn't happened for a long time however it is the second time in four days so I was not amused. Irresponsible cleaner who is not doing his job.

Anyway I choofs my way there, unlocks the gate, and checks out the building. All doors locked. The security patrol has left . So I phones security and the conversation went along the lines of, well the patrol said there was a door open etc etc. Nothing like arguing the point with an elderly lady at midnight. After checking back with the person who took the call it turned out the patrol had managed to lock the door. Would have taken all of two seconds to pull it shut so the lock clicked into place.

So I drove home again and crawled back into bed muttering deep and dire threats against parts of this person's anatomy.

And the morale of this story. It is sometimes handy to have a mobile phone. I could have been contacted and told the problem had been solved. Yes, I see you are all nodding your heads wisely. Then again if the door had been secured in the first place.............

Hope you enjoy your excursion YG. The old knicker elastic is the best. It is better quality than the modern stuff. I was thinking about filling the catapult up with chocolate and sending that over. There is so much more chocolate available over here now that I am not eating it. Kind of me to share don't you think.

Is THE broomstick really missing. LG must have left it parked somewhere. Wonder if she left it outside the E....stadium. I certainly don't have it. Cool and damp here this morning. I think the temp will still be arond 24 or higher.

OOOOooooooo Aunty you sound very miffed and quite rightly so :-|. Please keep the chocolate over threr I need to buckle down to this diet as I have been to WW tonight and I have put some on :-S. It's ok broomstick is set with a homing device and it is back it's rightful place under our porch :-D

Think we'd better have a whip round for matchsticks for Aunty's eye lids today.

Unfortunately Aunty, night watchman/security guard patrollers aren't normally the sharpest knife in the block. Its such a shame they didn't pull the door shut, and THEN phone to let you know! There you, an idea for Christmas - a pay as you go mobile phone with a large screen and numbers, and extra noisy ring tone. Then if/when someone does phone you, there is a chance you will

a) hear it
b) realise its yours!

(When we are arranging to meet, LG has to send me an email to tell me to go look at mine - lol )

Fingers crossed that the clinic can do something for LG's OH.

My BFF has a system with holiday knickers - she buys new ones, but leaves them at home, and only takes the scruffy ones. Then instead of having to re-pack yukky ones to take home, she bins them and has more space for souvenirs!!
