Evening all - tree now trimmed and cleared away. Why is it you always spot something you want corrected after they've gone?? Never mind, a neighbour with a pruner on a very long stick thinks he can reach the offending bit. All the same, it was good value for 3 men working for most of 5 hours and the tree is now a much better shape.

Aunty, OH and Spot are dancing around the room. Well Spot is hobbling on three legs. Ya hoooooo!!! Good news. The test results are back and Spot is a fairly well sabre-tooth tiger.

The vet said his red blood cell count is down a bit but that could have been the result of the bowel infection. He also has a thyroid problem (do you believe it!!!) which is why he is having so much trouble losing weight. That can be controlled with tablets. There are no nasties to be found and we are so relieved.

It's back to the vet for more tablets tomorrow.

Anyone like to lease a sabre-tooth tiger with arthritis, dermatitis, a thyroid problem, a cruciate medial ligament injury, in need of lots of red meat to build up his blood cells. I will catapult him over to you for a small fee. Need to pay his vet bill.

Morning all - that is good news on the Spot front; you must all be very relieved, especially OH for whom the STT is his day time companion. :-)

What went wrong with the staffing Maz? No Bank Staff or did someone not bother to phone in Sick? The Manager isn't doing their job properly unless they had approached you once it was clear that they were one person down. Hope you get recognition for the double shift - pay/TOIL.

PC's Beau house shares next to a house which seems to be some sort of vulnerable young adult foster home....they can hear the rows/discussions through the walls and often have the Uniforms called out. Mind you, things have got a bit better now that one male has been made to leave; he set off a firework inside the house :-( He is now Independent Living in a flat/bedsit of his own, which sounds rather dangerous.

LG - if the PC hadn't slipped from 'sleep' to 'comatose' last night, you wouldn't have been the Killer Queen - lol

morning the manager was doing her job LOL she warned me we cn not leave until someone takes over and some one foned in sick .bank staff cant be used that they done know and its gender specific too at this one so there was no-one else on shift to do it i will get overtime so its part of the job really i would rather stay for a double than use a day off lol

Hello all,

Wonderful news about spot I am so glad it is nothing serious.

Maz you have the same sort of staff problems as H gets at the Nursing Home. Fortunately for her she cannot always stay as she has to be home for Mini Gooners.

DET I am having problems with this lappy , the left hand click button is on the blink and also 3 of the 4 USB sockets don't work so wondered why I could not get the mouse to work on it :-|.

Sounds like it's ready for the knackers yard LG, you'll have to put a new one on your list for Santa.

Felt a bit sad after reading Aunty's post about Spot being sick all the time but then read the next post and saw he didn't have anything nasty wrong with him. His other ailments sound a lot like mine :-|

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 17 Nov 2011 17:37

Pauline is probably right there, although you could get an estimate from a IT repair place.

Failing that, let it be known amongst the extended family and ask for donations towards a new one for Christmas. At least you have the PC to keep in touch with the world, even if you aren't keen on it for evening use.

Last GCSE session was today. Hurrah! The next lot run from 10 Jan - 30 Jan. Lets hope they have managed to get the heating sorted out by then.

Oooh good news about Spot. I agree with Pauline, the ailments sound like some of mine!! I would willingly have him, Aunty, but not the vet's bill me thinks!!

Pauline, love the avatar. I've got mine lined up ready for the 'C' season!! Might change it before I depart from here for a short while!!

Actually, I could keep track of you all and might just contemplate keeping a beady eye on things to make sure you are behaving >>>>>> NOT !!

That was a long shift, Maz!! Mind you, think of the pay packet ;-)

Morning all, is everyone hibernating ;-)

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 18 Nov 2011 09:25

Morning all - no, not hibernating, but a good idea!

We had a power cut last night, so I couldn't even lurk, then OH rebooted the PC and hogged it until bed time. :-0 'His' Lappie is also on its last legs, with the battery not charging; we are thinking if getting a new one next year during the months we don't have to pay the council tax or water rates.

Glad you enjoyed your lunch out with Frog, Maz. We have planned to go to Faversham today for a wander round the Brewery, but it all depends when OH decides to get up. There are always the leaves to sweep up in the garden if we don't.
