Being a tactile shoppers we much prefer trundling round the shops, but on-line shopping does have its uses. :-) |

It seems to be ok at the moment, LG, but I have still had several problems with it, even since it was supposed to have been corrected. I see that there was a post on the announcement thread about it last week again. It needs to be resolved >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> fast!! :-| |

Morning all - At least Aunty's OH isn't like the inlaws; they keep 'mucking up' their laptop or forgetting how to access their emails :-D But we are very proud of them as they didn't start to use a computer/the internet until about 8 years ago and they are now in their mid 80s. They are allowed the occassional lapse in memory. I somtimes think that OH is too fast when he shows them what to do. |

Morning DET I have bagged up my leaves but I keep them as they make lovely soil improver if left for a while. Why pay for it when I can have it free :-D |

The Beech doesn't rot down, and gets mixed in with the other ones...........as we found when we tried to do the same :-0 We don't really have space to keep many bags for long enough. |

We do have a compost heap for kitchen waste and the occasional load of grass cuttings, but I've given up trying to 'improve' the soil. There are so many surrounding trees and hedges, that anything put on the beds only ends up feeding them. I do empty the mulitpurpose compost from the Pots on the flower beds though. Its mainly shrubs as nothing flowery will grow there. |

I have lots of trees and shrubs here but our little plot faces South and is a real sun trap in the summer so the bedding and the perenials do really well |

If you've still got my address, you can have a look on Google maps and you can see what I'm on about - lol. At least we have a good view from the kitchen window; a 16th C flint and brick built (originally a) farm house. Its got lovely decorative chimneys. :-D |

I would love a view like that I just have common or garden houses to look at from back but at the front where the kitchen is we have a green with trees but there are also houses behind that :-(. If you ggogle mine it just looks like a load of green stuff as the angle it is taken from shows the huge trees that hang over from next door. They are so large that it looks like they half cover my garden but they don't :-D |
