Morning Maz et al.

Good luck with the Xmas shopping - i went out knowing exactly what I wanted yesterday. Could I find it? Nope. Back to the drawing board. :-( Mind you, I did find a book voucher hidden in my wallet that was 12 months old, so decided to spend it just in case there was a time limit.

Aunty must be getting really fed up with her summer weather. Higher temperatures aside, it seems as if it is following the pattern of our 'normal' one. A few days good weather, followed by a couple of days of 'poor'. Not a 'Barbecue Summer' as the weather men would say LOL

When would you normally expect to have a proper snow fall RMS?

So sorry for the misunderstanding - you can see what's on my mind :-D. Think I'll do my cards at the weekend. PC already has some from the patients at work, but because of confidentiality, can't bring them home. :-(

Hello all, what a day yesterday :-(. Mini Gooner (A) was taken into hospital with a severe chest infection which could have turned to pnemonia but heres hoping they have caught it in time. She is now on a high dos of antibiotics so fingers crossed. They let her out in the early hours and seeing as I was sitting with other littlie we did not get off to bed until 2.30 this morning. She is coughing well too but Doctor says hers may be Asthma :-) !!. All this is very reminicent of 2 years ok.and bought a lot of awful memories back.

Still chin up and keep smiling :-D

Oh dear - that's awful. But although little ones can go down hill quickly, so do they bounce back. It certainly doesn't help that it is an 'anniversary' time of year again. Fingers crossed that they will both be on the mend soon. <3

Thanks Maz and DET. As you say up one minute down the next. They are a lot older this time so hopefully all will be well. Just waiting for a return call for an update.

I am cleaning upstairs whilst doing printing off in office. Multitasking again :-D

Evening - hope that you have had good news today LG. And that Maz got all of her 'chores' done! If you're up to date, you can come and finish off the oven LOL

We took advantage of the sunny weather, so went off for a walk in a country park. We were half expecting the barriers to be locked as it is Council run/owned, but everything was as normal including the cafe. OH has done something odd to his ankle, to won't be so keen another day :-0

~~~~ to Barbra :-)
Morning all hope all the patients are recovering, what an assortment of ailments we have at Nut Lodge right now. Add OHs eye to that, he has had another treatment and is in discomfort, poor dear.
Coolish morning but the temperatures are rising over the next week, I will be out of cardigans and into summer clothes before too long.
Today is the 49th anniversary of our marriage. An aquaintance did warn me it would never last. As I pause to reflect, I have three points to ponder; there is no expiry date on the certificate, how have we survived, and you don’t get this long a sentence for murder.
LaGooner Report 30 Nov 2011 20:35
Happy anniversary to Aunty and OH. My word 49 years haven't you served your time yet Aunty ;-) :-D :-D.
The littlies are a little better this evening although far from well. H and I have just been to Brownies and are both exhausted after not getting to bed until the early hours. Also H was at work from 7 this morning until 2 poor lass has now gone home for a bit of rest.
I married young but got shot of him after 13 rotten years. Married this OH 28 years ago and never regretted a minute of it.
Nite nite Barbra <3 :
+++DetEcTive+++ Report 30 Nov 2011 23:52
Good news on the Littlies front then. :-) With all these problems various family members have, we ought to convert one of the rooms in NL into a hospital ward. Aunty and LG need to sort out the ophthalmic requirements as they probably have the most up to date knowledge.
Congratulations (commiserations?) to Aunty and her OH. Of course, you were a child bride along with Barbra and LG! :-D :-D Hope you have a great day and a celebratory meal.
AuntySherlock
AuntySherlock Report 1 Dec 2011 06:32
I will have you all know I was a child bride. Thank you for your good wishes, we are saving the celebratory meal for Saturday. I refuse to go out with a man who's eye dribbles every few moments. Looks like I am making him cry. He is a dear person really, he sent me flowers at work today with a card inscribed from your secret admirer, and a nickname his mates call him which is not repeatable here.
+++DetEcTive+++ Report 1 Dec 2011 09:53
I ran out of fingers last night, trying to work out how old you must be :-D Something like a 49th Wedding Anniversary must really bring it home.
There can't be many of your contemporaries (or ours for that matter) who haven't made it to the Divorce Courts after such a long time. You must both be v comfortable with each other. Well done. Enjoy your celebration meal at the weekend.
Shopping day today, if OH can limp round the shelves - otherwise I might be allowed out by myself. Do you think he'll trust me??
Oh, congratulations for yesterday Aunty............. that's a long sentence!!
LG, I could have just copied and pasted what you said...
Married 13 years the first time and then got rid of him............. married 28 years to my second husband and never regretted a minute of it. :-) :-)
Of course I was only 4 years old when I married the first time... ;-) ;-)
I'm off out now.............. hope you all have a good day. <3
