Evening all, just a quick look in until later I have to go and pick H up from work as their car is off the road. Had mini Gooner A here all afternoon and we have sat crafting. Well this morning I had cleaned the lounge but you should see it now :-D :-D :-D

Morning all, cool morning here with 24 forecast. We have made a good start in the cricket test against New Zealand. I know it is not really a test to play NZ but someone has to do it. All our new baby bowlers managed a wicket each. Hopefully we can wrap up the rest of them this morning. If it doesn't rain.

I am sure your OH would trust you to do the shopping by yourself DET. He could make you a shopping list and you could promise to stick to the list, and then leave it on the table, teee heee. My fitness instructor says I have a body of a 47 year old. All I can say is that if 47 year old's feel like I do we have a lot of poorly 47 year olds around. I am sure she read the machine what says these things incorrectly.

Speaking of long term marriages my eldest is of the opinion that you should always keep the person who knows the most about you and all your little secrets, close by. Not that he did but I thought it was an interesting observation.

Aunty rummages in the drawer for her fascinator. Yes she actually has one!! Maz.... doesn't companion time have a statute of limitations.

LG A friend of mine is working on Christmas craft with her grandson. Started as a picture of Santa and his sleigh. Has now morphed into a wall display of Santa and his sleigh flying over roof tops with a full moon. It is on her lounge room wall on dark blue paper.

Hi Pauline and Barbra, thanks for the messages. Pauline, how is the healthy eating going!! I'll bet you thought I had forgotten.

Well I think the rug is looking lovely in it's coating of glitter. As long as the littlies are happy I don't mind the mess at all. I make enoughmess myself prepping up Rainbow and Brownie stuff :-D

Morning all - OH managed to limp round the supermarket, then hogged the PC for the rest of the day. I wouldn't mind if he was doing something constructive like browsing the net, but playing SS?? :-|

We don't have littlies making a mess in doors anymore, but OH can make up for it without really trying. You'd have thought that after 2 years into 'retirement' he'd have realised that there isn't a clearing up fairy. When he does do something unasked in the way of the dreaded, why do I feel guilty??

Congratulations on the 2 years of Companionship Maz. As I think I've said, my BFF's widowed father has had a similar relationship for about 30+ years, both keeping their own homes. They are now in their mid 80's, and seem content with the way things are.

Any suggestions for presents for the In laws? They don't want us to spend money on them, but would probably be upset if they didn't have a gift. Chocolates are out for both, and MiL shouldn't but does eat biscuits. Fil hasn't worn out last years slippers, so we are a bit stumped.

Mazfromnorf Report 2 Dec 2011 10:14

That's OK Maz, it is better to be a little cautious before jumping into the matrimonial crocodile pool. I am shaking my head at the Blonde One right now. Known the bloke for about four weeks and she already has his name tattooed on her arm. I thought irresponsibility was the privilege of the very young, and not a mature aged woman. What's the saying, "love makes fools of all"!! She a bit big to turn over my knee and tan her botty.

Hi all, have a day of unmentionable, shopping and then going out for the evening meal with OH. Really looking forward to it. Might see if I can fit into my mini skirt for the occasion.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 2 Dec 2011 23:50

Aunty, Enjoy the evening meal - are you sure the mini skirt is a good idea? You don't want to distract him from the food on his plate do you? Don't tell say that you are hoping to snaffle some of it while he isn't looking. After all, if it wasn't served to you, the calories don't count :-D

Hope the Blond one was trying to wind you up and the 'tattoo' is a wash off/wear off version. She might regret it otherwise.

Hi everybody.

I hope DET's right and the blond one hasn't had a real tattoo. I suppose she could have flowers or something tattooed over his name if she dumps him.

I'm having a lot of trouble getting onto the threads, sometimes I can't even open them.

*trying to pretend I didn't see Aunty's question*

Indeed - HAPPY BIRTHDAY THREAD :-D

Morning all - hope the snow doesn't travel as far south as Pauline. We really don't want a repetition of last year.

Isn't YG due back soon? Hope she had a good time away.

LaGooner Report 3 Dec 2011 10:14

Morning DET. I don't want any snow, too much in and out this week. Busy busy busy :-D :-D. I think YG is due back any time now I am sure she will pop in and make us all jealous soon :-|

The type of holiday she has had is a wonderful way to relax and get a taste of new places. I only used to have to drive past an airport, catch the smell of Aviation Fuel, and get wander lust!

I wonder which classification of males in uniform she has set her cap at now? Seamen may not be quite so easy to find for her as Fireman - lol

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 3 Dec 2011 10:39

Well she could always go for a toy boy. There are loads of Sea Cadets :-D ;-)
