Whooo hooo!!! I am back!!!!!
Happy 2nd birthday thread!! Made it safely so far!!
Belated anniversary wishes to Aunty & her OH. Well done both of you!!
Sorry to hear about the littlies, LG. I hope they are recovering well. We don't want repetitions of two years ago, do we.
We had a fabulous holiday and my sights are now set firmly on airline pilots and sea captains!!! The pilot on the journey home last night was scrumptious!!
I am absolutely kn***ered right now and I will go into more detail later! Am just trying to catch up on some sleep and feeling pretty yucky!
I will be back later!!

Welcome home YG - it sounds as if you need a holiday to get over the holiday :-D. Hope you didn't pick up a bug while you were away - the convalescence ward is all set up at Nut Lodge, if you need it.

Morning all and welcome back YG. Are you suffering from jet lag or some exotic overseas disease. Maybe we had better open up the isolation wing of Nut Lodge. Airline pilots and sea captains, hmmm from Flying High to Love Boat............
OH and I enjoyed our Teppanyaki meal last night. It was lovely to get all dressed up and to be taken out to eat. Sure beats MacDonalds. Just joking, can't remember the last time I ate at the sign of the golden arches.
Summer is approaching, well it should be we are now in December. The cricket is going well and I think we beat Wales in the rugby. Our soccer team was thrashed 0.4 by an interstate team, well serves them right for playing the silly game. Aunty ducks and hides in case a red and white striped missile is launched.
I am sitting here waiting for OH and Spot to come back from walks. The walks are very slow and very short but Spot is making good progress. The back leg is now being put on the ground. Amazing what a fan club he has asking about him.
Well I'm off to read the morning paper and check my lotto. Best wishes to all the sickies, hope everyone is feeling on top of the world this lovely warm morning.

Morning everyone - glad you enjoyed the meal Aunty. Did you not get time to read the papers in the morning?? Well done to Spot to; well on his way to recovery. He must have been having the leg problem for some time, from what I can recall you mentioning of his various problems.
OH watched part of the Aus/Wales RU game. Wales did make a good come back! He is off to watch a Saracens game with BM this morning, the other side of London. The London Terminus on our line is closed for engineering works, and we think the underground has similar problems. Shades of Peterborough!!!
Although it isn't raining, I shall *not* be using my home alone time to do the washing ;-) Hope yours doesn't get covered in snow Maz, it you do decide to put it out.
Not sure about the Tree avatar as it doesn't show up too well, so I may look for something a little clearer.

Lovely avatars on here, very pretty. DET, I think your avatar shows up well.
Nice to have you back YG, have you found out how the other half live? Airline pilots and sea captains now is it? They earn more money than firemen and the uniforms are nicer............ so that's a good decision. :-) :-)
Maz, we had snow this morning (for a short time), did you get any?
Happy Birthday to your thread LG (for yesterday).
Brilliant message Aunty, have you been studying law in your lunch breaks? :-D :-D

Lovely seasonal wishes from Aunty!! Definitely worth C&P as DET said!!
Everyone is looking very festive ready for the onset of the 'eat, drink and be merry' days to come!!
I think I have done enough of that to last me a couple of weeks and my 'friend' snapped some shots just to prove that I can no longer claim to be 'tee total'!!
Well I think I am almost back in the land of the living!! Apologies for keeping you all in suspense, but from when I crawled out of bed on Friday morning it was 21 hours later when I crawled back into my own bed. And I had only had 4 hours sleep prior to getting up on Friday morning!
Thankfully, there is no need for an isolation ward at Nut Lodge, although the nasty little Noravirus took hold on the ship and caused considerable mayhem!! As a result we were 'chucked out' much earlier than expected, so that the crew could sterilise the ship before the next influx of passengers arrived ready to start their cruise to the Caribbean. My friend succumbed to the virus on our last night, hence so little sleep for me and it was a worrying time as the nurse was threatening to isolate her at a hotel for 24 hours which would have meant missing the flight home. Anyway, her posterior received the usual 'pinprick' which stopped her being sick and although she had a very uncomfortable journey home, she has now recovered. :-(
That apart, we had a lovely holiday with plenty of sunshine and far too much food! :-D :-D
We visited Santa Cruz, La Palmas, Madeira, Agadir & Lanzarote before returning to Santa Cruz for our flight home.
Finally finished unpacking and got the washing done and as I don't return to work until Tuesday I have a reasonably restful day tomorrow.
Roll on the next one!! :-D :-D :-D

I know the feeling YG. I was babysitting last night and slept over on the sofa. It was quite uncomfortable and the cat laying on me did not help :-D

Heavens!! Almost had a panic attack. Couldn't find the thread. It must have been snoozing down on page two or lower. But it is still here. I did like my Chritmas Pudding but someone else already has one as an avatar so it will have to go. I really like your blue Christmas tree DET.
I can't believe how quickly this month is going. It will be Christmas soon and I have done next to nothing about it. Wonder if I could go into hibernation and wake the other side of Christmas. I really am in a state of put it off until tomorrowness lately. Must be the lack of sugar causing an imbalance of my get up and go.
Perhaps if I eat just one block of chocolate it would give me back my enthusiasm for doing things. Does anyone know if Woolworths still sell those 5 kg blocks of chocolate.

Morning all - it sounds as if you had a great time YG, Illness aside. At least your friend avoided it until the day before the holiday ended. Fingers crossed that you aren't incubating.
Hoped you've ironed out the kinks by now LG ;-)
It was good to have yesterday to myself - a number of those little 'can't be bothered' jobs got done. Today OH has an appointment with the Vampire, then we might go look for gifts for his parents. Sigh. (The gifts, not the vampire!!)
