I normally struggle, LG, but for the girls at work I just went into B**ts and picked all the same from the 3 for 2 offers.

The biggest problem for me this year is the youngest gdaughter. They all have everything, but the teenager is now easy to please with makeup and money or gift vouchers.

Dil hasn't given me a lot to go on this year but I have managed! :-D

My friend attempted to buy me a cd online and selected 'download' instead, so I have been busy downloading and then burning to cds.

I have now started wrapping pressies, but it is so uncomfortable on the floor that I can only do a couple at a time, then I have to sit back on the settee and rest!! No comment from you, thank you :-D :-D :-D

As if I would make a comment ;-). I have loads to do and to cap it all I have just heard today that our new wardrobes etc are arriving on 21st Dec. I suppose we should not complain as we have had them on order since October !!!. I still have hardly and Xmas stuff done but at least we now have the halway completely finished albeit I still have the pictures amd prnaments to put back.

I moved house once on 23rd December, but never again! We got through it, but were still putting up the tree at 3am on Christmas morning! There is no wonder we both nodded off at my mother's in the afternoon!!

I have finished my shopping now, but oh how I hate wrapping them and writing gift tags! I have just finished the youngest gdaughters wrapping, so one down!!!

We moved into this house on the 19th Dec 28 years ago. What fine Oh had pulled his back out I was heavily pregnant, we did not have hardly any money or furniture. I moved most of our stuff which did not amount to much in loads of carrier bags. I was crawling around on Christmas eve laying the lounge carpet. Oh happy days :-D. I am sitting here writing a list of all the jobs that need doing ready to get stuck in tomorrow.

That sounds like hard work LG, but you survived it!!

You are in for a busy day tomorrow, whilst I am languishing at a staff away day with a xmas lunch!!! :-D :-D :-D

There will be some very boring moments though while we listen to the hoi poloi's presentations! What fun!! We are supposed to mix well during lunch but a handful of us are going to try to stick together. I don't really want to sit with people who can't be bothered to acknowledge you for the rest of the year!!

I am off now for a reasonable night's rest (I hope!). Back to pressie wrapping tomorrow night!! Hope you have a successful day and clear lots of tasks off your list ;-) ;-) ;-)

Yoo Hoo - well, I've been v industrious and have been to work work for 2 hours :-D OH is still asleep. Now why aren't I surprised?

The plastic greenhouse blew over during the night, along with the geraniums which are over-wintering there, so he will have to get up soon to help me
a) put it up again
or
b) take it down and find somewhere else to put the geraniums.

It looks as though everyone is very busy at the moment, except DET;s OH. We need to find some tasks for him to do when he has re-erected the greenhouse, or taken it apart!! :-D :-D :-D

LG has a long list that would keep him occupied and I have a pile of pressies that still need wrapping!! Should keep him out of mischief for a while :-D :-D ;-)

Had our staff away day and speech from our resigning CEO, together with really good news about funding for the next financial year. I am stuffed full of christmas lunch and it was very good. Freshly cooked, which makes a change and a lovely leisurely two hour lunch break. Have rolled in and onto the settee too full to move!

Evening YG - best not to double up on the floor pressie wrapping tonight then :-D Sounds as if all round you had a good day.

OH did get himself into gear in the end (with a little help - lol). Greenhouse now up again with fingers crossed it stays put. We also took some bedding to the cleaners, and unwanted decorations to a charity shop. Now he is trying to mend the tuner on the radio/sound system.

That's what Christmas always feels like YG......... just put your feet up now and relax.

Hope DET managed to get the greenhouse sorted out............. looks like there'll be a lot more things blowing around tonight.
