Morning all - the white wet stuff is falling from the sky on to the Garden of England!! At least it isn't settling, which is something to be greatful for.

Pleased to hear that you had a good time on your day out Maz, and at least one Winter Coat found to keep you warm.

Sorry to hear about the Puddie Tat YG. Fingers crossed that it is just an infection, and not something more serious.

Do you think LG has over indulged after her night out? She keeps saying that she doesn't drink, so even one would go to her head :-D

LaGooner Report 16 Dec 2011 09:29

Morning all, no I did not over indulge I only had 2 fruit juices so there :-P :-D. Got a rotten stuffed up nose and headache this morning and that is typical when I have loads and loads to do.

I do hope the Fur is ok YG. They can be a pain but we love 'em. ;-).

Snap Maz. I have finally got the tree sorted the mini Gooners decorated it with the help from their Mummy.

Aunty I can't remember what the top of my desk looks like as it is so long since I have seen it !

We have the orrible white stuff here too but so far it is only settling on the trees,roofs and bushes.

LG has a cold? Typical! :-0 Hope you put hankies and vitamin tablets on the shopping list!

It's probably good that you've had a sleep-in Maz - you are always on the go and do need time to let your body have a rest sometimes.

Helloooooooooooo.

Managed to get through the last week at work without damaging any of the little critters. I still have a few days to work next week but it won't involve any stress.

Weather, aaaaaaaaaaahhh the weather. It is 8.30 pm and I am washing. One lot out on the line and I am hoping to get it dry before the thunderstorms hit. Second lot in the machine. OH says hang it under the verandah!!! In the low 30s today and the rain approacheth. Top of 27 then down to about 24 then warming up agin to the low 30s next week. Very windy especially in the mornings.

Spot is making good recovery and he sends a get well woof to the poorly cat types. He tried to chase one last night but forgot his ailment. Was very funny to see him come to a screeching halt just inside the doggy door, and then stick his head out in a threatening manner as if to say, just you wait until I am better. He has lost a bit of weight since being on his medication and no longer eats like a pig.

Christmas cards posted today and tomorrow I do my Christmas shopping. Then tomorrow night I will wrap the little 'uns presents. We are planning to eat outdoors on Christmas Day. That must sound hilarious to you lot. We set up tables and chairs at the side of the house near the fernery. Food on the table inside, select what you want and then so sit outside in the shade and eat.

Quite exhausted right now but feeling less stressed than I have been. Off to bed early, well once I get this washing out.

~~~ hello Aunty! Pleased to hear that the back of work work has been broken. :-) Remember to make time for your self.
In the 30's with rain on the way? That sound rather sticky and uncomfortable - no wonder you are exhausted. It sounds as if OH has the right idea about putting the 2nd lot of laundry on the veranda. Those cats won't know what has hit them once Spot has full recovered - lol
Yep, Christmas dinner outside does sound a little strange............... especially as I'm looking out the window at a couple of inches of snow on the garden.
YG, I hope the fur isn't as bad as the vet thinks.
Pleased to hear that Spot is coming along nicely now.
YG Report 16 Dec 2011 17:38
You are getting your work sorted well Aunty!! Good for you!!
Pleased to hear that Spot is on the mend. He will be back to normal soon.
Maz, is your fur going to rip the tree to pieces to keep himself amused!! :-D
Has anyone noticed the smiley with the santa hat on?? :-)
LG, don't blame me for your germs. They don't transmit via the internet. At least I am not guilty this time. I hope you soon feel better though. I returned to work today, but should really have stayed home and given myself the weekend to fully recover, but I am off my sick bed!! :-D
Pressies still awaiting wrapping. Some are done, but can't get motivated yet to finish the others! :-D :-D
I have booked a day's holiday for next Friday, so only four days left to work! Yeah!!!! Another rest from work :-D :-D
Pauline & LG, keep that snow there please. We won't want it down here yet!! I don't mind at Christmas as long as it doesn't stop me going out!
LaGooner Report 16 Dec 2011 17:48
Evening all. The fur have left it alone but smallest Gooner has had a go at it :-). I have been in the spare bedroom turning out rubbish, 2 large black bags of rubbish later I have decided to have a rest. So glad Spot is well on the mend. The dinner outside does not seem strange to me as a family friend used to have his dinner on the Beach , Now that is strange :-D :-D.
Oooooooooo fun Maz. The older Black fur used to completely wreck the tree but this year we think she is feeling her age and has not bothered with it.
Mazfromnorf
Mazfromnorf Report 16 Dec 2011 19:08
+++DetEcTive+++ Report 16 Dec 2011 19:37
Oooo makes me extra glad that we don't have pets, especially of the feline variety. Maz, did you watch the 6 o'clock BBC news? They had an item about Crook, which you may have mentioned on here.
Hope Pauline has managed to venture where ever she needs to go safely today....did your snow manage to melt? What a difference in climate; Aunty planning an outdoor Christmas meal (hopefully not with the accompaniment of raindrops) and us looking skyward for snow flakes.
If you are feeling under the weather LG, what on earth are you doing clearing out office mess? Shut the door on it Gal. It will still have been there when you are feeling better, and no one would have noticed. At least YG had the right idea and took it easy for a few days. Fingers crossed there is no relapse.
Father Christmas with a hat, just for the heck of it :-)
YG
YG Report 16 Dec 2011 21:01
I couldn't get used to cooking Christmas dinner in 80 deg. heat! It just didn't seem right, but Aunty would feel the same about preparing it at 2 degsC!! :-) :-) :-)
I am going to take it pretty easy over the weekend too DET! I only have a small amount of unmentionables to do and the food shopping. As I am off on Friday I will go out early and get the fresh food and then home with the doors locked and bolted!! I might do the usual baking (just for me, of course!), but it depends whether I am fully fit by then :-D
I have got a couple of silly dvds lined up to keep me occupied over the holiday, so apart from Boxing Day, my feet will be up and I will be chilling!!
LaGooner
LaGooner Report 16 Dec 2011 21:12
I sat and sorted out all of my sewing,cross stitch and craft things and put them all in proper containers in a chest of drawers. Blow the office DET I had the door shut on that :-D :-D. I found loads of stuff I forgot I had including 2 beautiful cross stitch kits that I had bought for me about 3 years back.
