I'm worn out before it starts YG. :-D. I will be seiing 8 Grandkids over 3 days. If that don't send me grey I don't know what will ;-)

I think I will be in for a quieter day than expected on Boxing Day, as my son is down with a chest infection. The doctor prescribed antiobiotics on Thursday, so I am hoping they will have kicked in and started to make him feel better by then. He hasn't been well for a couple of weeks but thought it was just a normal cold. Everyone seems to be having similar problems with chests at the moment. I'm still croaking when I speak, but feel ok now.

Am just going to watch a bit of the carols from Bucklebury, then off to bed.

I do hope he feels better soon YG. I fell a lot better now but still tire quite easily (or is that old age) LOL. There are so many chest problems about ,Yidarmylass has a bad one at the moment and on Antibiotics too. Anyway sleep well and have a good day tomorrow <3 <3

Christmas greetings again. Hope you are all full of the festive spirit although, come to think of it, it might be a bit early yet.

We are finished, and have just farewelled our last guest. I now have some unmentionable to do before I can collapse. It was a wonderful day, especially to see the grandbabies' faces as they opened their presents.

Beautiful mild day, rain stayed away until we had finished. I have lots of presents to play with, some expected, and others delightfully unexpected.

You will notice I am not mentioning food, or beverages. Umm I think it will take a week or two to work off my over indulgences. I have discovered I still have a one glass limit to alcohol before the rot sets in. So I had three or four glasses. The whole meal was special and the pudding extra special.

OK your turn now. Best wishes to you all. I am off to sort my kitchen, and finish the last of the washing up. And to put a lock on the fridge to keep me away from the leftovers.

Glad to hear you had a good day 'yesterday' Aunty. Unless you are religious, it is truly a festival for families and children. MInd you, I used to remind the offspring that was to celebrate Jesus' Birthday.

The left overs are part and parcel of the celebrations - no more cooking for a couple of days, and with a bit of luck, no food shopping either.

Sorry to hear that your son is unwell YG. Lets hope you can still visit tomorrow.

Over indulgences Aunty!! Oh goodness, there are choccies and cookies galore here this morning that friends have bought me!! Plus all the baking that I have done and now have to eat lol!!

It's one day after Christmas
I'm crabby and I'm broke.
I'm so full of ham and fruitcake
I think I'm gonna croak.

It's nice to see the relatives
I wonder when they'll leave.
They've been camping in my bathroom
since early Christmas Eve.

They're eating everything in sight
and sleeping in my bed.
I been sacked out in the basement
with my beagle, Fred.

The relatives have all gone out
and left their screaming brats.
The toilet bowl is all plugged up
and I can't find the cat.

It's Christmastime at my house,
the relatives are here.
They eat me out of house and home.
and drink up all my beer.

I love the decorations,
and the sleigh bells in the snow
But I wish those pesky relatives
would take their kids and go.

Those cookie crunchers fed the dog
a twenty pound rib roast.
His feet are sticking in the air
like skinny old fence posts.

Now they're in a free-for-all,
the girls against the boys.
They're fighting over boxes
'cause they're bored with all their toys

My mother-in-law is snoring
in my favorite TV chair.
Those kids are stringing lights on her
and tinseling her hair

I oughta wake her up
before the fireworks begin.
But I wanna see those blue sparks fly
when they plug her in.

The disaster of the day - I forgot to take off the netting around the joint, before wrapping it in pastry. Doh! Another one for the family memory box!
