YG Report 31 Dec 2011 22:58

There have been a few going off here. Strange really, as they usually wait until midnight.

If it's not the fireworks that will wake me, it will be the morons leaving the pub at goodness knows what time!! I'd best go to bed with the Shuffle on!!

Derek

Derek Report 31 Dec 2011 23:12

Fireworks since 5.30 PM....dog hding away..would not gp out for evening walkies.but the old girl........dog..not wife....took it all in her stride ( i have two dogs and five cats..).....anyway..still blasting off...God knows why!!..does anyone remember an old law that you were not allowed to sound your car horn after 11pm??????? let alone the bleedin' fireworks..........so the grouchy old git wishes you all a very Happy and Healthy and Prosperous New Year......I have a very decent 18 year old Balvenie to investigate...the parentage thereof..of course!!!

Derek.

You can join my Bah Humbug club any time you like, Derek!!

By the time you have finished your whisky, you won't need to worry about hearing the fireworks!!

Wishing you, your OH and all the fur a very Happy New Year for 2012. I hope you stay healthy and happy!!

But naturally, Derek!

We've had one big bang so far - perhaps the recession is biting - lol. They all probably start at 5 mins to midnight, then if the wind is in the right direction, we'll have the sirens off the vessels moored at Tilbury.

From one Grouch, to another - Happy New Year.

You are probably all snuggled up in bed now. I have cooked the main grouch his tripe and a blackberry pie. Sometimes he makes the decision about retirement from work, work soooooo easy!! No, not, never, ever!! Covered in cobwebs attached to my desk, will be my fate.

Hope you all had a lovely evening, and that 2012 brings you all your heart's desires.

Morning everyone.

Well 2011 went out on a low for my son. Someone broke into their garden shed during Friday night/Saturday morning. Luckily they didn't attempt to break into the cars (possibly because they are parked right under the bedroom window). They have stolen some gardening tools, but fortunately he had left the new chain saw that I bought him for Christmas in the garage.

Morning Every one. No sore heads, one hopes?

Despite being a Glass half empty person, we ought to remember the Half Full events, and there must have been lots of them.

LG has the delight that her littlies bring her, and the difference she makes for the young gels in her neck of the woods.

YG has had a wonderful holiday.

Aunty has had the joy that reuniting her Grouch with his biological family has brought.

Maz has a new job, and refurbished home.

With us, its the pressure on the savings relieved by OH's occupational pension, and the carefree days out.

Aunty - it does take a while to adjust to being home full time with the 'love of your life'. Both have to make adjustments, but if you both have separate interests, you can work things out. Think of the trips you can make together, and in cheaper times of the year outside of school holidays. If you could find an organisation to join, they would probably love to utilise your book keeping and organisational skills. We ought to work to live, not live to work. Seize the day!

(that's all a bit deep for this time in the morning - lol)

Evening Maz.

Back to the grind for me on Tuesday >>>>>>>>>>>> big groan! :-| :-P :-P

My tree is still up, but I have taken everything else down.

Tv is cr** again tonight, so I think I will have to watch a couple of dvds. I've got one of those double connectors for the scart sockets but I cannot get it to work, so I have to disconnect the Vision box to connect the dvd player. I will get it sorted out properly one of these days! :-D

Who are you running away from RMS? Not the 'treat' suggesters, surely? :-D Or have you decided to give LG a shopping list to get it in the post for you? LOL.

Glad to hear that people have had a good day. We've been doing the usual i.e. not a lot.

Tomorrow is Xmas Mark 3 at Eldest with her siblings and current OH's. We already have a list of things BM has forgotten to take 'home' with him. Boys, eh? :-(
