Evening - What's with Derek? People will begin to talk soon ;-)

Bad luck for your son Maz, but as you say, he might calm down a bit now.

When you've had a pet for as long as LG, and been 'chosen' to look after one as has YG, I can understand that you would be upset when they are ill/aged. It comes to us all, unfortunately.

I've lots 2 of the pounds since the Christmas blow out :-D But there are still 10 to lose to get back to my preferred weight. :-( A lot of it has crept on over the last 2 years, and the inactivity for 5 months at the beginning of the last year (back) didn't help.

Work work first thing in the morning, but should be home sometime before 12. OH will probably have decided to use the PC by then.

Our interlude with a galah. Reaction from the family. Our visitor wanted to fly him home with her on the airplane. OH growled at me for telling them we had found the bird. Blondie's reaction was, Oh no Mum, you didn't give it back. You know I want one of those.

My reaction. Thank goodness I found its owner. I really don't want a very large, shrieking, pooing, scratching, flying bird, living in my house.

I Googled that bird Aunty, they're beautiful, think I might have wanted to hang on to it. How do you know the person who said she was the owner was telling the truth?

Sorry to hear about Muffy, YG, hope things aren't as bad as you think.

Maz, did your son not get the chance to go to a speed awareness course? You still have to pay the fine but you don't get the points. I did that the last time I was caught, it's quite good.

LG, that's not bad, only 2lbs over Christmas.............. I put on half a stone :-( :-( :-(

DET, thank you for the list, I'll pass it on to him but not sure he'll take any notice. :-( :-(

He's quite fit and runs every night so it doesn't bother him that he's sitting watching the telly on a morning.

My cousin who lives across the road became a magistrate when he retired a couple of years ago, so hubby might look into that.................... later!!!

Evening all.

I agree with you, Aunty, not wanting a bird in the house!! You did the right thing!!

Tsk, tsk, Pauline and Maz's A!! A speeding ticket!! I'd best not tempt providence, but up to now and touching wood I have never had one!! My head is swelling rather!! :-D :-D

Good weight losses, girls!! Keep at it!! I really need to join you, but need my comfort food working in that h*** hole!! :-P :-(

Pauline. How I knew it was her bird. The instant reaction of the shop owner. She called the bird by his name, he responded to her, she was ever so grateful about us finding him. She knew he had very long claws and described the noises he made and what words he said.

And even if it wasn't her bird I would not have argued about it. I was quite happy for it to go anywhere but my lounge room. And yes they are very pretty birds.

Afternoon - What's wrong with a caged bird, if bred in captivity? It would be some one to talk to other than family members, and they don't take a lot of looking after. :-D

Enjoy your day at home Maz. Never been to the shop you refer to, although I think there may be one in Town. I quite like L*dl - you're never quite sure what are in the tins you are buying (they're in a foreign language - Dutch? German?) But of the major supermarkets we use, we prefer the fruit and veg in Sains.

Afternoon off for me.....possibly another Nanny Nap.

What's the matter with work work now YG? You couldn't wait to get back after Christmas - lol

Mazfromnorf Report 11 Jan 2012 13:06

both the shops are near me i prefer A as we used it in germany all the time its a lot cheaper veg is on 39p at times .the special lines are good too .Li is more eastern German but the soups are lovely any that says Topf at the end avood the word feuir topf as its usually very spicey ,gebacked is baked ,bohnen is beans my ten years in germany were quite useful lol
