YG I think I need babelfish I do not compute BOGOF. Oh hang on yes I do, thank you Mr Google (hope he is not a missus). Buy one get one free. Yes of course you may have one free. I'll send you the configuration that LG has so you too may see everything in red and white stripes.

And now I probably need to hide again. Move over LG, you see I have bypassed your locks and I am now in your cellar sitting on your throne. Oh good heavens even the cushions have that emblem all over them. Quite homely down here. I thought it would smell damp and mouldy like cellars of ancient times. I could quite become used to this. No I haven't left yet. Should be doing cleaning type stuff but it will be here when I return.

Greetings Susan-NZ I too am from down here. I frequently talk to myself while this lot are snoring in their respective beds. I also talk to myself while they are not snoring etc etc. I am the quiet, shy, retiring (well not retired yet) nutter.

:-| :-P :-P :-P :-P. Now thats a big porky pie Aunty. SHY INDEED :-0 :-P. Best get out of here quick as you have set of the bppby traps. I hasten to add they are not pleasant as they involve stale mole stew, sour pink custard and mouldy mushroom rissotto to name just a few of the nasties involved.

Runs for tin hat and broomstick. I'm out of here :-S

I don't need the felt tips LG!!!

Thank you so much Aunty. Just one small request. Could I have purple ones instead of rose coloured please. I do not wish to 'oggle' the colours that LG admires so much!!

Edit: Don't you have BOGOFS in your part of the world, Aunty?? You don't know what you are missing :-D :-D

LaGooner Report 13 Jan 2012 21:56

YG

YG Report 13 Jan 2012 22:17

LaGooner Report 13 Jan 2012 22:31

I thought it might be red and white as that is the colour of the large vehicles of the men in uniform ;-)

You've been spotted RMS!! Watch out if you are relaxing on LG's throne!! I think she could still be lurking in some dark corner waiting to pounce!!

I'm off to bed under the duvet where it is nice and warm.

Sleep well everyone, and for those in the upside down worlds, enjoy your day!! <3

LaGooner Report 14 Jan 2012 00:22

I am sitting here on my throne on guard to stop you lot repainting my cellar. Traps are reset so don't try anything :-|.

Evening RMS. Hope you are well.

I am now going to curl up and get some ZZZZZZZs. Nite nite all catch you tomorrow <3

Ha, the throne room and the cellar are all mine, mine, mine. Have finished fitness, shopping, putting shopping away. Have tea on in the slow cooker, lamb shanks and tomatoes. Now have to type two letters for OH and one for myself.

Aunty pull the computer table towards the throne and starts her typing.

Just in case, the door is locked, bolted and glued with superglue. Hmm might be a problem at breakfast time tomorrow. Don't fancy a swim in the custard vat to get out of here.

So we had a visitor last night? Welcome Susan. The newly baked cup cakes are in the pantry over there >>> Do help yourself if no one else is about about; just make your self at home. If Aunty is about when the N Hemisphere Nutters are asleep, you and she could always have a chat and scheme how to redecorate the Lodge. At least LG has decided to keep her colours to one room, all be it in the Cellar. Give me natural light, and lots of it, any time. :-)

OH was engrossed in the last couple of chapters of a book, so I had to cook in the end. He seems to be re-reading all the Terry Pratchett books we have, and neglecting his domestic chores. :-|

Glasses - that reminds me. Phone the optician for an appointment before the 'free eye test' coupon runs out ;-)

YG

YG Report 14 Jan 2012 19:08

Evening all.

Talking of glasses, I had to go to the opticians today for a check up with my contact lenses that I have hardly used :-D They were still taking too long for me to put in, particularly the left eye which has a toric (larger) lens. I confessed my sins and the optician was great. I have now changed the monthly lenses for daily ones and they are so much easier to put in as they are thinner. Another bonus is that they are cheaper!!

I can only use them for distance, but that suits me ok as I have my varifocal glasses for general use.

Morning all. I found that discussion about people who chat on long threads and how off putting it is for newcomers to join in. I don't know if that is true of this thread. How off putting could we be. We have always opened the Nut Lodge door to anyone who knocks.

What could be off putting about a bunch of Nutters who keep cyber pets including nessie modo dragons, giraffes, elephants, gremlins and boakins which breed like rabbits in a compound. Where's the problem with keeping a bad spider, Glen, with only 7 legs and a technical gremlin, Sweetpea, who disrupts all things electrical and electronic. And shipping boakins around the world because they make good draught stoppers, if you can stop them breeding.

What's wrong with living in a virtually decorated Lodge with a throne room, a kitchen, a cellar and a padded cell, and individually decorated rooms. Can't see the problem in eating mushroom risotto, pink custard, or mole stew. Or leaving the windows open so the flying omelettes can travel through them. Don't have a problem with intercontinental travel by catapult, powered by knicker elastic, stolen from a certain Nutters undergarments. What's wrong with the queen of the Nutters travelling on a broomstick, waving a lazer, singing Queen songs. Not to mention decorating everything a la Arsenal, (well that can be a problem sometimes). And I almost forgot hogging the throne room.

Don't see it as a problem for one Nutter to be enamoured of a Frog, another chasing fire engines and drooling over firemen, and one in charge of the wine supplies who has an OH who cuts plugs off unwanted power cords. Then there is another who lives in the frozen wastes of the rocky mountains, and gets kidnapped all the time. And one from down under who dresses like a fairy in hob nail boots, a deerstalker hat, tena undergarments, carries a fairy wand and is accompanied by her sabretooth tiger Spot.

We have our traditions, botty stamping, wild parties, in depth discussions about the weather, the state of our health, world events including soccer, cricket and proper football. We also have frequent discussions, linked to a blue moon, on family history topics.

Now I really have to ask....... what's not to like about us?????????!!

You know I am almost tempted to post this on that other thread!!! But I would probably be ignored!!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 14 Jan 2012 20:22

Oh do post it Aunty the responses could be amazing :-D :-D.

Hello....haven't popped in for awhile as I have been tending to family stuff. Of course I'm totally intimidated by all of you as you would be if you dared to venture onto my Aussie thread. Is there anything scarier than a group of friends who like chatting to each other? I'm terrified myself :-0
