Hi SueMaid, It's OK there is no expiry date on entrance to Nut Lodge. You might have a problem getting away, but once you have training and development on the catapult you should be OK.
And bother, I forgot about the Arsenal Ark Royal in my notes to the unwary!!!

Hi SueMaid? Are we a clique? Oo, we've been called a lot of names in our time, but not that. Does it mean we will get castanets, Flamenco dresses and swoon over sultry Latin males? Count me in :-D
Aunty- you are sooo cruel! :-D :-D OH recognised the description at once - lol
RMS, did you sort out the British food treats for your Brownies, or is that still to come?

Many thanks for the warm welcome ladies, it is much appreciated.
Aunty, which Island do you reside in if I may be so bold as to ask?
I haven't read back through this thread so am coming in 'blind' so to speak... YG, I may need a lens or two :-D.
My two fruits wear lenses and I cannot watch them put them in. I come over all funny, or should I say more funny than usual....
Hello DET, thanks for the cake.. I shall not leave any crumbs, far too greedy for that malarky. I have been out shopping today and bought two cupcake trays, where the heck I shall keep them is a question for another day, oh dear. Impulse springs to mind.
Now is this 'throne' for any old bot or is it a tad sacred? I shouldn't want to offend so early on , I am well brung up - in the main. ;-)
Off to sip my sav and think about cooking our evening meal.
Tatty bye for now

Weeeeell, I went back to view the reaction to the summary of Nut Lodge. I have to report the thread is now a complete mystery to me. It appears to have been highjacked by alien beings intent on relating their stories from bygone days.
I might leave my tin hat on for a while longer and remain in the vicinity of Nut Lodge and the catapult.
I have finished the drudgery at work, work and very nice it looks too. I could get a job cleaning at the Intercontinental hotel in the big city. No perhaps not, scrubbing the floor with a toothbrush does take an inordinate amount of time.
Ah Susan-NZ. What island am I from. I am from the very big island across the Tasman Sea. The advancing one which also houses lots of Kiwis from time to time. I live just north of a small city called Adelaide.
There is no such thing as a clique on this thread. We did have a military dictatorship at one stage but by mutual consent we overthrew the regime and settled for a tolerant society bossed about by our Killer Queen. Don't encourage her to sing, it is painful. The Nut Lodge thread actually started three threads ago as a Thread Killers thread. Everytime we posted on another thread it either died or was whoosed. So this lot started their cyber pet thread for Thread Killers, and I joined a bit later. And the rest is chaos.
We won the cricket. Beat India by an innings and 30ish runs. Third test win on the trot. Wait until you see our Mr Warner bat. He bats T20 style in a test match. Fastest test 100 or something. The man is drooooooool!!
By the way... I received the automated reply about OHs purchase. I said to him, "there you are, you can relax now, they have replied". Cheered him up no end. Must sit him down and have a chat about online purchasing, one day.

Good Morning Aunty Sherlock,
I was just taking my morning peramulation, and I stumbled on you.
Please do not think I was trying to highjack you at all.
I think you will find that I am not staid at all, and your little Nutlodge sounds very inviting indeed. It appeals to my sensitivities.
May I be allowed to visit once in a while. I already know SusanNz, she and I are old friends. Indeed I believe I have also spoken to you a few times too.
The cricket sounded very interesting. Did you keep score?
I await you permission to enter your realms.

Well I certainly don't like giving my credit card details over the telephone. Ive had a lot of problems with npower since I moved into my new home regarding bank account details. They cant seem to get it right and you never get the same person twice. After giving the same detail over the telephone to yet another stranger I notice my normal polite telephone manner has degraded into something akin to rage.
Bid TV's the same.Whats worse with them is the unsolicited callers are never the same person indeed the nationality is seldom the same. Are they all incompetents or have I become a cantancerous old man :-( ?

Hi MowTown Girl. There, there, never mind. You have GR hiccups. It happens when Sweetpea has been playing with the submit button. It won't. So you press it again, and then it does twice. We have several cures for hiccups, the one I would recommend is to delete one of your posts. I became enraged and stomped on the submit button four times last night. Took me forever to decide which repetitions to delete.
No permission needed to enter. Make yourself at home, choose any room and decide your decor. It is all virtual - apart from the throne room and the cellar, and that is no hold barred. If you hear a whooosh and a strange noise which sounds like Freddy Mercury just duck your head. LG is due to land any moment, I've "fixed" her broomstick. It will need servicing before she can take off again.
The cricket score. We won, what else is worth mentioning. Our wonderful bowlers cleaned up the Indian tail before tea on the third day. That is actually bad news because it means there will be no fourth and fifth day's play to keep us entertained.
Hi David. Cantankerous, old, not very kind descriptions of one's self. I am becoming quite used to online purchasing. Although I must admit I do not do my banking online. Neither do I venture much into ebay. But the occasional dvd, or catalogue purchase holds no problems. I must admit I have a daughter who furnished a house, practically, from ebay purchases. Very good at that last button press is she.

Hello David and Mo. How kind of you to grace this thread. Pull up a chair, do. David is an occasional visitor, so has his own suite.
As Mo has a wonderful turn of phrase, relating the tale of her one true love, she and Aunty will get on well ;-)
Ah, the Throne. Technically, it belongs to the thread initiator, La Gooner (LG) but it snaffled by the last person to post at night. Of course, if Aunty, or now Susan, are about while the rest of us are asleep, do have an unfair advantage!
Online purchases and banking is both a boon and a curse. Aunty's OH really does need a crash course in manipulating the maze of security questions, log ins etc etc. We purchase a number of items via the internet, and use it for our banking etc. The main problem I have is Visa Verification. Every time I have to use it, it refuses to recognize my password characters, and has to be re-set. Grrrr :-|
Susan - our female offspring are into baking in a big way. PC (problem child, the youngest boomerang child) has stuffed our cupboards with silicon baking trays. And very nifty they are too.
Well done Australia, winning the cricket. I was under the impression that Mr Warner had retired? The 5 Nations Rugby starts in a few weeks. PC is already trying to find a Drinking Hall which will be showing the first game; it coincides with a major team football match which seems to have priority. :-0
YG is the 2nd person to have added to the thread when Nut Lodge was recreated. Could she perhaps edit it to include Aunty's explanation? It would help visitors to understand what occasionally goes on.

Good morning, good morrow, goodness gracious.
Yes, I was in such a hurry this morning, I may have indeed pressed twice, but I have rectified the matter, and trust now that it is indeed to your satisfaction.
So, I can chose a room, that sounds very accommodating of you. Will that be on a weekly, or daily basis. One is very fly you know, and cannot settle too long, for fear of putting down roots. I shall begin on a weekly basis and take it from there.
Now, the decor. I once saw a fillum with the adorable Doris Day, where she is an interior designer, and she was taking retribution of the late Rock Hudson, because she thought he was a philanderer. She made it up like a bordello. So I think that will be out of the question, I do not want you to think I am a lady of well, values that have become, lax.
I think a nice lemon on the walls, bright and sunny, with Wm Morris curtains and covers will suffice. I do like those sleigh beds though, I can pretend I am on a holiday in a Winter Wonderland. A few silk cusions thrown about casually will complete the desired effect.
Do we eat together? I do not want to stray onto anyone elses territory, but I do make a mean lasagne. Just ask the boys in Italy, they will tell you that my pasta is the talk of Bologna.
Sipping water delicatelty, to avoid any further attack of the hiccups. Slurp.

Good afternoon everyone and a warm welcome to Motown Gal and Sue-nz.
I love your colour scheme Mo. Just don't let LG near your room or she will be changing it to red and white to match the footie strip of her favourite team!!
I joined three threads back, on the original called Thread Killers United, as every time I posted on a thread it finished it off!! LG made me very welcome and I've made it my home, although I do occasionally post on other threads.
I do try to sneak on the throne occassionally, but usually get hoisted off by the late night lurkers, usually DET and LG!!
Sue-nz, you are very welcome to share some of my lenses if you wish, or Aunty can arrange the despatch of some rose coloured glasses which remove the garish red & white stripes on the throne room.
We do have occasional virtual parties, but the food leaves something to be desired :-D
There used to be a varied collection of named cyber pets, but they are mostly confined to the compound now, as their families are becoming rather large! Sweet Pea keeps escaping and causing havoc with everyone's electrical gadgets, so avoid him like the plague if you can :-D :-D
I have a tendency to swoon over men in uniform, and although it started with fireman, I have now expanded my range to include aircraft pilots and sea captains!! Please note that swooning is as far as I go though!! It is all pipe dreams as I am a rather quiet, shy sort of creature :-)
