A tractor with snow plough attachment has just been down our Close!!! We think it is somehow connected to the young man who lives opposite; he works on a farm :-D :-D

hello thank you one and all for your greetings Froggy is working today he popped in yesterday while i was at work the cat pencil sharpener has to be the party piece today lol but I have had some nice things and cards
I have cooked lunch washed up and cleaned the cooker out am on a double shift tomorrow The main roads are clearing the side roads are passable now it has melted quite a lot though

I gather from all the excitement the peppermint stick team has managed to win another game. Hmm my lot's sporting teams are fairing exceedingly badly, except for the cricket of course. We beat India again, although they did beat us a few days ago. So far our state cricket, basketball and soccer teams have all lost. Will just have to wait for the start of the proper footy season.

Hello all, well at last the move is over and done with and the house is ready to hand back tomorrow. Garden play equipment is still there as we have to wait for the snow to clear :-|.

Looks pretty out but I sure am glad to be in all freshly showered and in jim jams.

Actually, we've been pretty fortunate in the UK so far this year. Main land Europe is really suffering with exceptionally low temperatures for weeks at a time.

The UK Met office gave up with long range forecasts after getting it so wrong in the past; an 'ice-cream summer' which turned out to be the wettest in recent years. :-0

Canadian and US met guys actually apologized early last week for getting the long range forecast so wrong!

This was supposed to be a colder than normal, snowier than normal winter over much of the continent!

Good morning to you LG. How are you? Taking it easy today, hopefully? This time, you'll have to encourage H and her OH to do the decorating themselves, but possibly look after the littles while they do it.

What is the mantra of Surgeons, if the TV shows are correct? Watch one (they've done that), do one (their turn) and teach one (in years to come) ;-)

I'd rather decorate DET :-D :-D. Just bumbling about today doing a bit of catch up on the dreaded.

Evening all. Well it's night actually. Just finished an intricate, mathematical, counting task for work work. How many monsters you have equates to how much funding you get.

The counting has to be done by someone with an Einstein equal brain, great concentration, and a total of twenty fingers and toes for counting purposes. As well as counting them, if they weren't there you must provide evidence they will be, why they weren't there and what you did to find out if they will be the next time you count them. You also need to know which monster age group they belong in, despite the fact some monsters of differing age groups are grouped together.

I feel a screaming tantrum coming on at any moment!!!

Now, now Aunty - there are probably some cyber pets with mutiple digits who can help out. Take tomorrow afternoon off and have another go in the peace and quiet of home when you aren't so tired.

Can't you manipulate a data base to at least give the number in each age group? It wouldn't help say why they are/are not/will be attending, but at least it would go half way to solving the problem. There you are, a little design job for the IT guru with possibly some payment, or at the very least, a greatful mum ;-)

OH has seized up after yesterday's snow clearance. If he is hoping to be waited on hand and foot, he has another thing coming !!
