Morning all - hope they give you sitting down or standing up jobs to do Maz, and not those involving heavy lifting or bending. You'll really know about it tomorrow.

Give it a week and the grass will be long enough for giraffes; I don't think they are very good at grazing on the ground and I don't want them reaching over the electric fence to eat the plants.

Do the drains get blocked very often in that particular area? The council/water board need to get involved and replace them if it is a regular occurance.

We are supposed to be going out to the dwelling used be the Warden of the Cinque Ports today. May be. Perhaps. If OH gets up at a reasonable hour. Its far enough south to be out of the rain cloud although will probably be windy so we'll buy lunch instead of taking sarnies etc and sitting in the car.

Have a good one.

we are the scrubbing team today the lifting has been done .
Being at the foot of the Pennines and the Dales we get a lot of silt that the drains can not cope with.we also have three major rivers in the area too . we are not at risk of flooding but there are areas in Bishop Auckland that and major work continues to prevent this .Also we are in the mining areas with old minefields too

Not sure if our faces are sunburned or windburned, but either way they are pinker than they should be.

He, he! The south east coast missed the band of rain. PC said that here at home there were a couple of really heavy sudden downpours, so she didn't put her laundry on the line. Its amazing the difference 60 odd miles south makes.

Back to 'normal' for the next couple of days with pontoons fitted to the car :-0

(Sending snorkel to YG)

Morning all - what a grey day. OH's 'rain guage' is the wheelbarrow he left the right way up a couple of weeks ago. Since it is now nearly full, I shall use it to wash and disinfect my flower pots. (Trying to put a positive spin on things :-0)

Not Bad up north today ,we have a few spots of rain ,a m, a few sunny periods too ,but plurry cold with it .

Thank you for the snorkel, DET! It might come in useful if the ark develops a leak!! :-D

Its all the water in the junction boxes ;-)

Some of the sites we've been on today have been running slow, even though our line speed is as per normal. We've put it down to the majority of people deciding to play on line rather than go out in the wet doing something else.

The holiday sites were the slowest. We wonder why??

Still, if YG and Maz oop norf had have dry weather, it may be a problem restricted to darn suff.

Morning all - It sounds as if Maz will have to be prepared for half of the Broads to be coming in with the laundry. Wasn't that were he went? I bet he'll be glad to be sleeping in a warm, dry bed tonight.

Our connection speed seems OK at the moment. We'll have to see what happens when people start to wake up.
