I am feeling lazy tonight, so am just cooking a small piece of fillet steak and jacket potatoes tonight.

One more day tomorrow, then off for five days!! Whoo hoo!!

And I am getting my new fence erected next week!!

I have now got next week off of Rainbows and Brownies but no rest. Friday I have 2 pew ends to make for the Jubilee flower display in our church and then we have 2 stalls at the big Jubilee celebrations in the village on Bank Holiday Monday.

There is a saying that to get anything done, you should ask a busy woman - how lovely to be involved in so many community acitivities LG. Are the littlies going to 'help' with the flowers? Its a shame that the good weather may be coming to an end just in time to put a damper on outdoor events.

5 days off? Enjoy! And here's hoping that Maz had a peacful shift and the toof repairs haven't given her any gyp. The pocket must hurt as it is!

For weeks OH and I have been moaning about the lack of open tills. Haivng regained my assertiveness, the Duty Manager got the sharp end of my tongue. OH did his 'She's nothing to do with me' act, but did ask what I had said as the Duty Manager went a bit red around the gills ;-)

Its not good enough, so we will be voting with our feet next week,and going elsewhere. Pity more people don't do the same, then they may realise that customer service is just as important as value for money etc. :-|

I will be doing the flowers myself as it will be much quicker and easier :-D . Bit miffed though as it seems I have got lumbered with prepping everything for 2 stalls at the weekend too :-| :-| :-|. To say I am not a happy bunny will be an understatement.

The Accountant has sent us forms to fill in, but since we are paying him, why should we have to do all the work? I'd rather collect everything together and bung it off to him to sort out. :-S

At least this will be the last year that OH has to do one, just to sort out what he is owed on his Pension which he started to receive mid year. Then it ought to be straight

Persuade YAL and other Helpers to get involved....and members of other organisations if the stall is something to do with them. One stall to sort out is fair enough. But 2? Delegate !!

Easier said than done DET. One leader is as much good as a chocolate teapot. YAL is otherwise tied up but will be there on the day thank goodness. I got one just finishing Uni exam this week and one who has major family probs at the moment. I will be helped on the day which is something but I have got to get prizes and stuff boxed up etc. Never mind I will rope H in on her day off if I can ;-).

Right really must away and do a bit. I am leaving this lappy downstairs so I am not tempted to sit on it instead of the office one which does not go on line. I can't use the other old lappy that lives in the office either as it has picked up a virus and needs to be completely wiped and reloaded. In this case I should get a good bit done.

Ooh, DET, I'm pleased I wasn't the duty manager! Having worked in one of the big ones on the checkouts I know how they operate, or don't!! Overtime bans, so people cannot be asked to cover where needed, which is why we were constantly being called down there from the personnel office and then they would hold us there when the queues subsided, whilst cashiers went for their breaks. It always amazes me, because they have mystery shoppers, but the problem seems to be getting worse.

We have had lots of rain this morning, but it has dried up and the sun keeps trying to get out, although it is clouding over at the moment again.

Have jobs to do this weekend, like visiting the dumpit site. Lovely!!!! The car will need another valet, or I will have to get the vacuum to it myself! :-D :-D
