Goood Morning :-D

We had a busy day yesterday, and a hectic weekend in the offing.

Yesterday we were given some sad news...............the cafe at Sains is closing this weekend and won't be reopening until November. There goes our cheap lunch/coffee break weekly treat :-0

YG Report 16 Jun 2012 16:31

Wet here too, only just though! The odd short shower this afternoon, just when I wanted to start painting the fence! It has been dry all morning so at least I managed to get the washing done and dry. . :-D :-D

Is your local Sains in for a re-fit then DET? I was working at the one here when they did it about six years ago. A huge job doing the whole lot. There were even marquees in the car park to store stock in! :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 16 Jun 2012 19:33

Yes YG - its due to be expanded as well. The vehicles queuing to try to get out of the car park are horrendous as they are also building a new petrol station. If it is wasn't for a £9 off voucher for our next shop, we'd go somewhere else.

How the offspring have grown up - we've had to accompany BM to research washing machines and fridge freezers! :-D

Morning all!

Enjoy your day, Maz. I hope the weather improves for you.

Just had brekkie after doing a few odd jobs and preparing dinner.

Overcast but with sunny spells here. Off outside to start fence painting and cross everything that there isn't any heavy rain! :-D

Tut - you'll have to get that young man under control. Any way, why wasn't he out gallivanting with his young lady?

Sounds as if you'll have a busy day - enjoy it and tell us if the fuss and bother about the Torch was worth it. It doesn't come close to us until 20 July - not sure if we will go or not. It will probably depend on

a) The weather
b) If we, or more specifically OH, are up in time.

We are to have a houseful for an evening meal - BM came home yesterday as he is emptying some of his belongings from his rented flat. i'm just hoping I can persuade him to get rid of some of the 'stuff' he has in his room, left from when he moved out.
PC isn't working, and Eldest & co are coming once they have done their Godparenting duties at a near by church.

Crossed with YG - good morning, and good luck with the painting. You do realise you'll have to do it again in a couple of years, don't you? ;-)

YG Report 17 Jun 2012 20:51

Thank you for that reminder DET!! However, I did buy the most expensive one and it is supposed to last for 5 years, so we will see!!

I did the other side too, for my neighbour. Went round to get a couple of panels done and ended up doing the lot. It has taken me eight hours, in between doing some raking as well as I worked along the fence.

I haven't even got the roast dinner done!! Finished up with a couple of poached eggs on toast after a long, hot soak. I'm am absolutely done in!

Just the shed to do now, but not yet. It is being delivered either next week or the following week, depending when I can take my week's holiday. Thank goodness it does not want doing for three months. I can get it done before winter sets in. :-D :-D

I think I will be at work when the torch arrives here, but as I am not a sports enthusiast, I am not uduly worried.

To be honest, it is a little disappointing, as in my ignorance, I always thought it was the same torch that was carried in relays. Big let-down, especially as some runners are selling theirs! :-P

YG

YG Report 17 Jun 2012 22:21

I don't doubt that for one minute!!

I will let you settle down on it tonight, because you will be lurking much longer than me!! But don't get used to it!! :-D :-D

Sorry to depart, leaving you to get up to mischief, but I really need to fall into bed tonight!

Sleep well, when you finally get there!! Catch you tomorrow :-D <3 <3

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 17 Jun 2012 22:42

Have a well deserved rest YG - it sounds as you deserve it <3

Don't know about anyone else, but as LG has so many calls on her time, it wasn't unreasonable to assume that was the reason for your absence!

Good to hear that the Torch parade went well Maz. It sounds that the speed of passing is a bit like the Tour de France when it passed through our town a few years ago - blink and you miss it - LOL

OH managed to get the grass cut today. It certainly looks much better. Then we entertained and fed the homing pigeon offspring and assorted partners.

Stretches and yawns - my, that was a comfy sleep on the throne :-D

Wakey wakey, rise and shine - make the most of any sun you may have for the next few days as its going to change again by the end of the week :-(
