Oh that sounds a pretty good swap, 4 used plugs for a large butchers crate of wires and cables. When would you like them ? :-D. We are just about the house, garden and shed today . Hopefully it stays fine as we can turf stuff out onto the lawn to sort. Maybe a nice little shower tonight would go down well to water in the new plants to save me the job. ;-)

Sorry - no takers for the leads. he says he has enough of his own :-D
Mind you, we have a drawer full of computer cables etc which 'might come in handy'?

Hope it stays dry for you to turf stuff outside. Consider the panic trying to throw it back if it does start.

YG Report 1 Jul 2012 14:50

Please don't send your turfed out stuff over here, LG!! My shed is wonderfully tidy!! :-D :-DThe only things I need to get rid of are various sizes of plant pots and seed trays. I will try again on Freecycle to see if I can get rid, as I do not propose doing any growing in the future. The easiest option for me (timewise) is to buy plug plants.

It is grey and overcast here, but hoping it will rain later as the new grass needs some water. I am loathe to use the outside tap as my water bill has just gone up yet again for another year :-P :-P :-P

I've been a busy girl this morning, so am now going to chill out for the rest of the day, as it is 'nose to the grind' again tomorrow :-P :-P At least it will stop me spending! :-D

YG Report 1 Jul 2012 21:38

Evening LG. Well done!! I'm pleased someone else has been working hard! Bet you are watching the footie now (or the tail end of it, anyway).

I have just come inside. The NG came to finish off last bits and there was a piece of turf left, so after he had gone I dug up a bad patch and laid it. Am quite proud of myself as it looks level. I have raked and seeded the orginal piece that we have added to and scattered some seed that I had left to help it on it's way.

I need a bath now my feet look as though they have been down a coal mine!!

YG Report 1 Jul 2012 21:42

Whoops, I see it has ended with Spain winning! :-D

Thank goodness for that. Only Wimbledon and goodness knows how many days of the Olympics to go now.

I was absolutely hacked off last night when BBC1 kept the tennis going. It was supposed to be going over to BBC2. There is no chance for anyone that doesn't like sport :-P :-P :-P

Can't wait for Wimbledon and Olympics to be out of the way. Roll on the strat of the Premiership :-D

YG Report 1 Jul 2012 22:23

Well I will agree with you on the first two, but a big groan for the last statement!!

I'm off for my bath, Back to the grind in the morning, so an early start! Not that I have had much of a lay-in all week!!

Sleep well, LG. I'll catch you tomorrow evening <3

Morning all - glad to hear you all had a producitve weekend, even if in Maz' case it was in paid toil.

I'm afraid we did S*d all yesterday. Just as I mentioned to OH about the village festival, the heavens opened :-(
It did stop quickly, but he wasn't going to risk it.

We've been feeding the pigeons as well YG! It will be interesting to see how much of our grass seed actual comes up.

Well, I hope 'someone' helped you load the car yesterday! Any of it good enough for freecycle? It's amazing what some people will take!

LaGooner

YG Report 2 Jul 2012 17:31

All the birds have suddenly disappeared from my garden, DET!! There are normally lots of sparrows and dunnocks, but not a trace for two days, so hopefully the grass seed will survive. It has had a good soaking today, that's for sure!! Non-stop fine rain and the remainder of the week doesn't look much better! :-D

I couldn't get rid of my plant pots on Freecycle, but I will try again and advertise them on their own this time.
