popped in to say see you sunday sometime am taking Bessie back we are supposed to get lots of rain here too so hopefully we will get out and back ok

Morning - hope Maz is safely on her way to Bonnie Scotland and it doesn't take too much longer than originally planned. She never did say exactly where she was going, did she?

Good luck to the rest who are under the heavy rain belt. It sounds very much like a day where if there is no pressing need, stay home!

Yesterdays move went well. It was a cracking day even though it meant we were dripping on occassions. Sis-in-law is trying to squeeze the contents of a 3 double bed ( one of which was probably bigger than some people's main living room) into a 2 bed bunglow. Allthough she got rid of one of the beds, she really should have disgarded some of the 'stuff'. Goodness knows where she is going to put it all!

Despite making sure I didn't carry anything, my back is aching today. its probably the result of bending and straightening from unpacking boxes. There are still over 15 for her to do.

That sounds like a fair day's work, DET! Well done!!

I hope Maz has a good break in Scotland and that Bessie is behaving herself en route! :-D :-D :-D

The rain has passed over now, but has been tremendously heavy virtually all day. The forecast is unsettled for the next five days as well, so nothing much to look forward to there! :-D I will need some farm animals to graze the lawns soon if this carries on much longer! And, NO, I don't want any of the CPs sending over, thank you! :-D

Has LF taken off in the Ark? She was supposed to be arranging for it to come down here from Pauline's!! :-D

Ark is on it's way :-D :-D. We have had a lot of rain here today too but not very heavy as forecast thank goodness.

Evening all - glad to hear that YG has survived. Don't hold your breathe for a drastic improvement in the weather. On the lunch time news a weather forcaster said that we will be stuck in the same pattern for probably at least the next 4 weeks. :-|

The back is much better now, thank you. It was a bit touch and go this morning, as if you know that if you aren't careful, you will get cramp or something?

Usual mess today as they made collage pictures. Smallest has just learnt to snip with scissors so loads of little bits of paper etc everywhere :-D

You are so full of joy DET!!! But perhaps 4 weeks might see it over and done with. I am on holiday from 6th Aug, so here's hoping! :-D :-D :-D

Ahhhh, the saga of the air con!! No sign of the police!! The engineer has been out and it seems that the whole set up has to be replaced. If they can match the existing one, then it is not too bad, but if not, then all the units in the ceilings are going to have to be changed :-P :-P That will cause major disruption.

They are saying on the news that there has been a land slide between Doncaster & Peterborough, so disruption yet again on that rail line. Pleased we are not meeting up tomorrow!!

Can't wait for our holiday either. A WHOLE 2 WEEKS AWAY :-D :-D :-D :-D

Don't take any notice of DET's weather forecast then LG!! OR take the ark with you! :-D

We have until early Aug so who knows what will happen :-S

I was just looking at the BBC website and listening to some woman from the Uni of E.Anglia. On the one hand she was saying that we can expect more of the heavy rainfalls in future years and at the same time that we will experience more extremely hot summers. :-S

Hope you both have good weather when its your holiday time. S*ds law it will rain when we go away in September even though on average it is dry, warm and sunny.

YG - you'll have to force the windows open and buy fans until your aircon is fixed. Pity the police weren't interested.

We don't want hot summers in this household thanks. Pleasantly warm will do fine :-D

I'll agree with you on that, LG!! I can't take too much heat nowadays, but I do like some sunshine.

I don't object to some heavy rain, but it would be nice to have some decent days in between! :-D
