My goodness! A new YG so shortly after a ‘new’ LG! Don’t you feel you are missing out Maz?

At least you have new glasses to look forward to, even if they do end up costing an arm and a leg. You’re probably like me, gradual changes which all of a sudden add up to big changes. Mind you don’t trip over a kerb when you first get them.

Do we now have two Arks?? LG has the hiccups, or perhaps she is sending one to Maz and the other to Pauline. Sounds as if you are having a good time and the weather won’t put you off – that’s one good thing about a holiday in GB; there are usually plenty of things to do undercover.

Having problems posting again so might have to give up for a while

I'm back, fully stuffed and in my pjs, ready for bed. I think I will curl up on the throne again tonight. It's a pretty safe bet that there won't be any disturbance. LG is tucked up in her ark and the second one hasn't landed here, so it must have gone to Paulline's.

I am getting used to this idling around. It's shameful, but enjoyable!! :-D :-D

Am off to the garden centre to buy a large ceramic pot and something to put in it, plus a couple of shrubs for the border. It will be nice to just mooch around in my own time. Might even stay in the cafe there for lunch!

I haven't been posting anywhere DET, been watching the Olympics........... I know you all hate it but I love it. :-) :-)

Murray was fantastic, our rowers and cyclists were brilliant......... in fact all our team have been great.

I've joined LG and YG........... I've got a new hair style - I've had it chemically straightened.


We could have done with the ark here on Sunday and Monday, we had massive storms. We had huge hailstones on Sunday.

We had no Olympics on the TV yesterday evening - Hurray! The down side was that OH decided to play SS. Never mind.

It's supposed to be a cracking day, and the patio doors are open already. We'll probably suffer tonight while trying to sleep. But hey! You can't have it both ways!

I had a really good night's sleep last night!! Wonder if I can manage it tonight!

I have been a busy girl today. The first day of the holidays when I have really felt like doing anything, so I made the most of it!! I have varnished the shed, sprayed outside the fence with weedkiller, cut the small lawn, watered and done some planting! Oh, and some ironing!! Phew!! I am now completely done in and am relaxing for the evening, having had a lovely soothing bath.

two kicked off lol so spent the day hanging around again for a while but attended to other chores at the same time

Evening one and all. It has been a lovely day here and we have spent the day at the coast.

Watch out Maz and Pauline we will be travelling up quite near you on Saturday .

Morning all. AS grand child's birthday was not a party. Had that the day before. We know when to stay away. The adults from both sides of the family had morning tea, we gave gifts to the young man, who was very suitably impressed, we looked over vehicle and domicile projects, talked to the animals, received some fresh eggs from the chooks, and left.

It is very cold here this morning but our spirits are somewhat evelated. We now have more gold medals and have reached the dizzy heights of tenth place on the list. I have no watched one bit of the Olympics, not that is a fib. This morning I watched the kayak race on the computer. It was accidental I clicked the wrong button.

OH has had some success with the garden. One beautiful orchid is blooming and we have purple tulips. They were red and white last year so goodness knows what happens to bulbs in successive years. Even as a winter garden there is still plenty of colour. Our mandarin tree is still covered in fruit, not as much as last year because it was pruned.

Well I must away. Work today and off to watch the football tomorrow. My team is second on the ladder and will make the finals this year. Can't see us in the grand final but one never knows.

I am off today so I am going to be an outdoor busy bee today the garden is in need of some work and i am going to just enjoy the weather too I am working all weekend A is back tues for a few days then going again on holiday by the weekend but he is taking the car so I wont see froggy as much ,
i was so tired yesterday after my shift yesterday i fell asleep ,

If you have tulips, then spring must be in the air….which means that our autumn is close by. And we haven’t really had much of a summer yet. I’ve never had much success with Orchids, so well done to your OH. Can you grow daffodils? That always says ‘Spring’ to me!

What a change from a couple of years ago –the new footie team manager must be good (along with new players) to have improved their performance.

YG, stop thinking you are a 25 year old. Of course you are allowed to spend your holidays relaxing.
If Maz’ clients hadn’t ‘kicked off’, it could have been a rather boring, long, shift. As long as you got sufficient sleep.

OH has his annual retina eye scan today in a mobile van at the surgery. The first year he went, they had put the patio chairs the van uses as a waiting area on the pavement. Not very dignified!
