Morning Maz - I'm on my 3rd coffee. It tastes rather odd so I might possibly have made my coffee in OH's Tea mug and vice versa. Yes, he is up! Miracles do happen!

I have just received a letter from the hospital for my retina scan, DET. I go on 20th August. They have said no driving for at least six hours afterwards!!!

I am suffering the after effects of all that work yesterday!! Please keep reminding me that I'm not a 25 year old, because my head thinks I am!

water water yes lol I have weeded between the flagstones cut the grass and edges and weeded .And swept the outside paths ,washed the one load i had had a shower
and now relaxing lol
its lovely and warm just getting a shopping list together

I've actually cleared the ironing the day after it dried - that's quite an achievement for me :-P

No driving for about 6 hours sounds about right. OH is now at 4h 30m post eye drops and says he hasn't regained total focus yet. Do remember to take your sunglasses even if it is a cloudy day. Just overhead lighting might feel too bright.

It doesn't sound as though I will be able to work on the computer in the office then DET after the scan. Do I need to book a sickie? :-D

Well, possibly. If you can do something not involving the computer, you might get away with it. Your focus will certainly be 'off' for an hour + .

I suspect different people have differing recovery times, but would certainly factor in 2 hours until you could do close work. I suppose you could go to work then make a decision then?

The test + drops only takes about 30 minutes, but as you are going to a hospital, you may have a longer time to wait until its your turn.

Evening all, what a lovely day it has been. My you have all been such busy bees you make me feel quite tired LOL. Just packed some of the case this evening ready to move on in the morning.

You should see the gardens here where we are staying they are truly spectacular. The couple that own the properties keep them so beautifully they put my little bit to shame. I will have to take a photo of them before I leave they are so colourful. No gardens tomorrow as we are staying at the Travelodge for a few days.

This holiday has had an amazing occurence. I have been contacted by an Uncle who I have never met, he is my Dad's half brother and I cannot wait to share a lot of information and news with him.

They don't hire anyone they are out here every day doing little bits to it.

Unfortunately he lives way down south so will postpone meeting him for a while. He has a sister though ,my Auntie who lives in North London so that will maybe be a visit soon. It is so nice to have been able to find my Dad's family as he was fostered when he was a baby

You keep saying you're going to go to YAL's stomping ground, but never get round to it. No excuse now.

And waaayyy down south is next year's holiday.

I see the footie season is upon us again and we haven't even quite finished with the Olympics yet!! :-P :-P Thank goodness the paralympics are only on Channel 4, at least we won't be bombarded with them! :-D

Another glorious day, and LG is probably already on the road. Holidays can be rather busy, can't they?

Last day of the O things - thank goodness. Not sure if we will watch the Closing ceremony or watch some of the programmes I had to record.

I will watch the closing ceremony as I am a music fan, but I must admit I will be glad to see the back of all the sports. GB has done very well though!!

Had a bit of a mixed day, some lazing around and some grass cutting. A handful of spots of rain, but the day has been pretty good.
