He-he!! That reminds me of my ex mother in law when I was first married!!! The in-laws came to visit us in our new house and as she was following me up the staircase, I turned round to say something and she was running her finger up the ledge that ran alongside the stairs!! Needless to say she didn't find any dust!!

Have been for my retina scan and the staff were lovely. I have the day off so am relaxing!! :-D :-D

Up to your neck in algae LG!! You won't need to decorate your tin hat, just leave it to dry out! :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 20 Aug 2012 17:31

LOL - well, we survived. Lucky for us that they can't make it up the stairs very easily, so any cleaning can stop at the first turn. :-D
Actually, they are v good and never criticise although who knows what they say to each other as soon as they are outside the front door!

In all the panic, forgot that today was the day. Hope you are fully recovered now YG. Next year, you will know what to expect and what you will be able to do when.

Did you have to take out another mortgage Maz? ;-)

I have to confess my sins and admit that I had a two hour nap this afternoon!! I did try to stay awake while I was reading, but failed miserably, Perhaps catching up on all the bad nights last week! :-D :-D

I have been a good girl since then and cut all the grass at the back. I was hoping to do the rest tomorrow or Wednesday, but the ITV forecast is not good for the rest of the week. I have also heard that the bank holiday weekend will be a washout, but not sure where!! Sorry to be a party-pooper!! :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 20 Aug 2012 19:31

Oh dear to the weather - eldest has arranged an extended family BBQ on Sunday....probably in the rain. At least she has a canvas gazeebo thingy in the garden. :-(

Did you plan to be at work when A gets home? Talk about getting out of the washing!

YG - OH couldn't sleep last night, and went for a snooze........3 hours ago. Should I get the saucepan and wooden spoon out??

Glad you've scrubbed up well LG :-D

YG

YG Report 20 Aug 2012 20:01

Definitely time for the saucepan, but make it a metal spoon!! It will make a lot more noise!! :-D :-D

Are you on galley duties then, DET, if OH is still sleeping? He won't be able to sleep tonight at this rate!!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 20 Aug 2012 20:07

WAKEY WAKEY MR.DET :-D :-D :-D.
Did that work ?

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 20 Aug 2012 20:20

Nope, sorry LG, that didn't work! PC says he probably won't sleep tonight as it is, so I may leave him to it :-(

No Galley duties as we ate a knife-and-fork meal at lunch time up the pub. So its get it yourself, or not as the case may be. PC found a Chicken Kiev in the freezer and cooked that up for herself. She's v good if she knows we have already eaten a full meal. :-D

LaGooner Report 20 Aug 2012 20:25

Only kidding ;-) Actually , I will have a prod and see if he wakes up. If I don't come back, I've been knocked out by a flying arm. He startles so easily!!!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 20 Aug 2012 21:16

YG

YG Report 20 Aug 2012 21:27

Oooh eck, LG!! I have two props, one old fashioned one with the 'v' slit in the top, but the other has a curved hook. Now, I wonder which one would have the best result!! :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 20 Aug 2012 21:37
