I am ok thanks.

The opticians were extremely kind as I was a bit upset. It is macular, but don't know till I go to the hospital whether it is wet AMD or dry AMD. I am gutted, but need to come to terms with it now. Could be a possible injection into the eye, but will have to wait and see.

Ooooooooo nasty YG. Oh knows all about injections there YUK :-P. I do hope you get it treated soon, there is quite a lot they can do for that problem now.

Don't think I will be waiting long, LG. They were very quick with the retina scan, so I am hoping to hear from them this week. The optician has set me up with a pair of cheap single lens glasses just to help me at work until it's sorted and I can new varifocals. I have to collect them later this week.

Oh is off to hospital next week and hopefully get his problem sorted. They think it is the early stages of Glaucoma but we will know for sure after his day of tests. He can then get the proper dosage of drops sorted as he only has a low dosage at the oment and they don't appear to be doing much to help.

I am awake,well,just :-D. I think I may have a dreaded lurgy too now as I have been having painful throat and headaches for a couple of days now. I fell asleep fater my last posting last night, woke up on sofa just before midnight, went to bed and slept until about half an hour ago. Ill or old age ? :-S :-S

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 27 Aug 2012 09:14

My goodness - you are a couple of old crocks! YG needs to slow down if she is going to shake off the lurgy, and LG dose up with vitamins and have loads of rest if you're going to ward it off.

Really sorry to hear about the eye problems YG. The sooner you can get to see a Consultant, the better for your emotional and pyhsical state. Probably the not knowing is as bad as anything. <3

YG

YG Report 27 Aug 2012 09:14

A mix of both!! :-D :-D

I hope it soon goes, LG. You perhaps need to rest up a bit, but I know it's easier said than done!

:-D :-D.

Morning DET. I have been having quite an easy time of it since back of our Hols. We have decided to slow down on what we do for them others ;-).

The not knowing is the worst bit methinks YG. Once you get full diagnosis of the problem it is much easier to deal with.

YG

YG Report 27 Aug 2012 09:37

Morning DET. Sorry, missed you there, you sneaked in at the same time as me!!

Not before time that you are now putting the two of you first, LG!! :-) :-)

Dose up and take it easy. It has taken me two weeks to start feeling better. :-(

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 27 Aug 2012 09:41

Not to worry YG :-)

YG is right, LG should be slowing down, so its good to hear that you are both cutting back on being available for other people/organisations.

LaGooner Report 27 Aug 2012 09:42

I hope I shake it off before two weeks time YG. I have planned on doing a bit of family visiting before then. There are a couple of cousins I have not seen for ages and really need to catch up with.

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 27 Aug 2012 09:44

I have not cut down on the oraganisations DET but I will delegate more to others where I can. That unfortunately is not the case with Rainbows as my understudy is as much good as a chocolate teapot :-|

YG

YG Report 27 Aug 2012 10:22

Then you have to prioritise, LG! If Rainbows is most important and takes up most of your time, delegate other things, or say NO!! :-D

LaGooner Report 27 Aug 2012 15:27

I'm getting good at saying NO. :-D
