YG Report 20 Sep 2012 17:00

Thanks, LG.

I have just been round to check on my neighbour as her son has gone away for two weeks. I just don't know how she manages, but she is lovely and doesn't give in easily. She will be off to Hawaii again at Christmas with her son to visit the middle one. She goes every year, even though it costs her a fortune for insurance to fly! A real trouper at 78 :-) :-)

Ah that is because she is what our vet calls a norty torty. Tortoishells are notoriously snooty and very mischievious. I know we have one :-D

Please pass my best wishes to YAL. If she is bored, she must be feeling better!

There was a really sweet family of cats which had adopted our hotel. The mother was mainly white, the Tom black, and the kittens white with brown patches. One daft woman bought cat food to feed them, making them dependent on humans rather than foraging for scraps or hunting. With the tourist season coming to a close, they are going to have to fend for themselves, and only the most successful will survive the winter. In my opinion, if would have been kinder to take them to a vet to get them checked out and/or doctored!

Glad to hear that today wasn't as traumatic as you might have imagined, and good luck with the treatment.

Hope your night shift was uneventful Maz. You must be pleased that the old lady has been accepted by the younger generation!

Good luck getting it dry ;-)

You should have told A to put some in while you were at work, his own if nothing else. One of these days he is going to find a young lady to live with - they expect their men to be housetrained now-a-days :-D

Pleased to hear that the fur is settling in well.

I have one that comes twice a day for food and will sometimes come in the kitchen, but definitely doesn't want to stay!! Duffy has just about made friends but is not over impressed.

I need to whisper this next bit >>>>>>>>>>>>> I have bought the first stocking fillers for the dreaded season :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 Couldn't really resist them from the book club that comes to work, so they hidden away in the top of the wardrobe now, so that I can forget all about it for another couple of months!! :-D :-D :-D

YG has started the seasonal shopping???? My goodness and to think she is the one to be the most Bah Humbuger of us all :-D

Eldest decided to host the annual family get together (taking on the alpha female role) but as virtually given up due to other extended and close family member commitments.

Think we might pack away the patio set today- its too cold to sit out for any length of time

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 22 Sep 2012 10:25

Not having young children consider, we work from Lists supplied by the recipient or spouse. Consequently we can't start shopping unitl late November or December :-0

There are 4 family birthdays in those months, which makes things doubley difficult.
