Morning Maz - LG must have been gallivanting about yesterday - not like her to miss posting...........unless the water has got into the junction box again ;-)

I did spot the Bonfire parade, but we wouldn't go as it mean coming back late, but I have put the re-enactment on the calendar. We'll see what the weather is like when the time comes.

Now we know what you got up to in your youth ;-)

I woz a good girl lol
My friend and I were Rangers guides ,We put in the trust of her Older brother who used to be a venture scout .so after the meeting and before the bus went we would go for a drink She used to bribe him with a lager and lime if he did anything wrong and tell her mum lol .we were told to stay with him so we got home ok
To get to battle on a sunday is a train job so we will see what we do weatherwise which will make a difference

Glad to see that most people push the boundaries. You did get to know which landlords weren't too strict about age limits ;-)

Edit another carrot to get OH out of the house - appeal to his tummy

YG Report 25 Sep 2012 17:26

Well if you would rather be stuck up your tree than talk to us, we can take the hint, LG :-D :-D :-D

Underage drinking!! Well, I never!!! I wouldn't have dreamt of it when I was a teenager!! ;-) ;-)

I had a crush on someone who moved to Leeds. His best friend (who was really a steady guy with no bad habits and rather old fashioned compared with the rest of us) offered to take me on his motorbike to visit him. I had never ridden a bike before so told my Mum I was going to the fair at the racecourse. I was all dressed up in white skirt and top, stockings and white shoes. Little did I know that by the time I arrived in Leeds, the heat from the exhaust would have melted my stockings into large holes and my hair looked grim after wearing the helmet. I was terrified of the whole ride and still had to get back home! As we travelled up the main road past the racecourse, my Mother was out looking for me. I never did tell her the truth of me having been on a motorbike, let alone going that distance on one!

BUT I never did anything norty! :-D :-D

Wouldn't have dreamed of underage drink? It's a rite of passage! ;-)

Mind you, I've never been on a motor bike so you've got me there. You must have looked a sight when you got to Leeds. However did you explain your appearence when you got home???

LaGooner Report 25 Sep 2012 18:02

Oh you devil YG. I woz always good ;-) ;-) ;-).

When they thought I was out at my friends I was on the back of a motorbike, no crash helmet doing a ton down the Barnet By Pass :-0. Also used to sneak out to dance clubs and Motobike clubs in London :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D.

See I woz good , Good at telling porkies ;-) :-D :-D :-D

YG Report 25 Sep 2012 18:25

I took my stockings off when I got to Leeds. A brush through my hair did the trick before Mum walked in the door, but I was in big trouble for being late home!

Of course I went underage drinking, DET. I couldn't have been a proper teenager without doing that!

Pleased I have another mate after my own heart LG!!

I am not going into the rest of my follies. Not fit for this thread!! :-D :-D

YG must be dreaming about her past indiscretions, and LG stuck up her tree........is it time to call out the firebrigade???? ;-)

Off to rev up the broom stick, even if only to travel up one floor. After all, it is passed midnight :-D

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 26 Sep 2012 08:51

Aren't you up yet LG??? Tut, tut!

Still raining and it's shopping day. With a bit of luck OH can be persuaded to go to the 'other branch' which has a cafe. Then we needn't cook tonight ;-)

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 26 Sep 2012 08:54

Cheek, I've been up ages :-P.

I am having a day just pootling about doing all those little odd jobs that get put of until tomorrow. As we all know tomorrow never comes ;-)

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 26 Sep 2012 09:04

You're forgiven then ;-)

I had one of those days yesterday - fair wiped me out, it did! And OH sat playing SS on the pooter all the time. Grrr.

One thing we both did, was to go through the freezer kept in the garage.....we've far more meat than we thought, most with little yellow stickers. Most of the time its out of sight, out of mind. Now that we have a list of contents pinned to the kitchen fridge, we might be able to plan ahead and use some of it up, or at the very least, won't buy anymore for a while.

Mazfromnorf

Mazfromnorf Report 26 Sep 2012 17:43

Well we are all afloat here lol the worst has gone ,it was hard to get home last night there was one route in and out of work so it was hard

YG Report 26 Sep 2012 18:05

It has been bad, Maz, in North Yorkshire too. There is a discussion going on about the Children's Hospital at Leeds which is supposed to be closing and all patients transferred to Newcastle, but because of the heavy rains, there was no road through, so they are hoping it will add to their reasons for keeping it open. It is putting dangerously ill children at risk.

DET, you don't need to go shopping then for a while. You can live off the contents of your freezer!! No more excuses for eating out!! :-D :-D

Hope you have got those jobs done, LG. If not, I want to know why not! :-D :-D

Saw a fire engine parked up outside the cemetery on the way home. Now there's food for thought! Shame it was parked in the wrong direction. They were only a couple of hundred yards from home. They would have been very welcome for a cuppa! :-D :-D
