Evening all!!

Ha-ha, I am off for my flu jab on Saturday morning. First one, as I now qualify with the diabetes. Don't know what I'm in for, so hope there are no side effects. I'm due at the hospital again in another two weeks for round 2 with the eye, so can't cope with anything else at the moment, thank you :-D :-D

LG, good to see you out of your sick bed. I'm pleased that you have zapped the thread to free it of any germs. Good thinking!! :-D :-D

Hello, Dizzi. Welcome!! Are you joining in this 'used to be mad' thread! We are all much more sedate and ladylike lately. Not sure how long it will last though!! :-D

Sedate and Ladylike, MOI ??? :-| :-| :-P. Never :-D.

Evening YG, Did the injection in the eye help at all ?

YG

YG Report 15 Oct 2012 19:51

Evening, LG!! I didn't phrase that quite right, did I !! :-D :-D

I think it has helped a little. I am hoping the next one makes a big difference, but I'm not looking forward to it :-( :-(

LaGooner Report 15 Oct 2012 20:02

Oh does not envy you that :-P. But saying that any improvement is a bonus.

YG

YG Report 15 Oct 2012 20:21

I am up for three injections initially, so I hope at the end of them that I do not need any more for some time. I will have to go regularly for check ups, but I guess I will get used to them as time goes on. It is just the discomfort for 24 hours afterwards that is definitely not pleasant :-P :-P

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 15 Oct 2012 20:51

I have not had them but Oh had one eye injected in 5 places on the same day OUCH :-P.

YG

YG Report 15 Oct 2012 21:04

OUCH AND DOUBLE OUCH :-D :-D

I'm trying to get the decorating fitted in between appointments and son has to do some sanding soon. I think I'd better get some eye masks!! Now I've started, one job is leading to another :-D

I am booking Friday off as a plasterer is coming from the council to inspect the wall in the front hall and bedroom and there is a problem with the plaster. Then they will have to come back to do whatever they need to do. The hall will need decorating and I still have the kitchen and mid hall to finish yet. I will still be at it at Christmas and beyond at this rate!! If you fancy visiting with a paint brush you will be very welcome!! :-D :-D

LaGooner Report 15 Oct 2012 21:06

I thought as you are getting so skilled at decorating that you would offer to come and do ours ;-)

Ha-ha, LG!! You have a wonderful sense of humour :-D :-D

Morning all - don't envy you those injections YG, but if it does make a difference, it must be worth the 24 hour discomfort. You're getting as bad as Maz with all that decorating! We're still at the 'planning' stage, which has lasted several years at the moment.
The difficulty of dealing with the big stairwell drop is one of the sticking points. :-0

Hope that you are still improving LG, and have managed to delegate this evenings activities. Have you heard from RMS recently?

LaGooner Report 16 Oct 2012 11:37

Morning all, tonight is an easy one so no problems but cancelled Brownies tomorrow as 3 of us are ill. :-(.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 16 Oct 2012 11:53

Good morning LG.
Who do you think will be disappointed - the girls or their parents who will now have to 'entertain' them for an extra couple of hours?

Keep warm and rest, especially as you have to go out at the end of the day.

Still waiting for OH to get up, but at least it means that the PC is MINE :-D :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 16 Oct 2012 13:59

:-D :-D. DET this PC is mine all to myself :-D :-D :-D OH is allowed to use it very occasionallly ;-).

Feeling a wee bit brighter today but still no energy. :-D :-D :-D about tomorrow, no dumping ground for the odd couple ;-). I have spoken to most of the parents directly on the phone and they are all full of sympathy and good wishes. I must do something right ;-)

I have not heard from RMS I do hope all is well.

YG Report 16 Oct 2012 18:17

Evening to those that are well and those that are ailing. A sensible idea to cancel, LG, because even if you were to feel up for it, it would not be a good idea to try to manage them with others laid low :-( :-(

DET, I am not thrilled about having to do the decorating, but needs must, I'm afraid. I can't hold off for another 18 months until the council does the kitchen and bathroom. That's why I'm doing it myself, so that I can get the professionals in when the council have eventually finished everything.

At least it will be all clean and presentable and easier to look after, hopefully.

Evening all, I am feeling reasonably well but very tired this evening so I may not be on here for long :-D

YG

YG Report 16 Oct 2012 22:08

Evening LG. You sound as though you still need to take it easy. Rest up, keep warm and be a good girl! :-)

I have been busy trying to sync my music to my phone so that I can put earplugs in at work and lose myself whilst doing a very boring job! I wasn't sure whether I would manage it as it has taken me a while to get to grips with the new phone, but it was really easy (luckily for me!) :-D

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 17 Oct 2012 09:28

Well done YG.

I am feeling even worse today it is something going round at the moment. I have just been in touch with a good friend who I was going out to coffee with tomorow and she still has it from last Tuesday. Needless to say we have postponed our outing :-(.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 17 Oct 2012 09:49

Morning, although not a good one from the sound of it LG. Do take care of yourself,a nd get the 'lodger' to help out. Fair's, fair!

Well done YG gettting to grips with your phone. Won't it eat up your battery life if you use it to play music? Don't know a lot about these things! The next thing you'll be asking for is an i-pod for that December day :-D

Since the CH man is due today, we decided to shop yesterday but had to abandon it before we started as OH 'felt funny' again :-(
Leaving him in the tender care of PC, I went by myself, only to discover I'd left the list at home, then that my mobile was missing. Not a good afternoon.
He now has a GP appointment booked for tomorrow. Even if they say that it's one of those things, it needs checking out.
