Evening all.

Good luck for your OH at the docs tomorrow, DET.

Sorry you are still not felling well, LG. Sounds as though you might have a few days to get through yet. I normally found it is a week or two for me when I get the bug. I am trying to cheer you up, honestly :-D :-D

YG Report 17 Oct 2012 21:06

I'm playing games now, with one eye on the tv! :-D :-D

I asked the vet about some dental work for fur when I went last week. She said because of a possible thyroid problem they would like to do blood tests to check that his kidneys and liver were ok before he has an anaesthetic. She phoned me tonight with the results, and everything is pretty much ok, except that his kidneys are towards the higher end of the scale so she would prefer to give him an intravenous whilst performing the procedure. It is pushing the bill up from £230 to £420!! I am going to take him for antiobiotic injections on Friday which will help his dental problem for the next few weeks and I will have it done after Christmas.

What a shock!!! I need a bottle of brandy to bring me round :-0 :-0

It's really the last thing I needed at the moment, LG!! Two gds birthdays at the end of next week, in the middle of all this decorating, a bill for the lawns to be scarified and new glass in the kitchen door and side panel!! Not forgetting the unmentionable season approaching much faster than I care to think about :-D :-D

Welcome home Maz - It sounds as if you had a good time, and unlike us, avoided the showers on Saturday. Hope you managed to get a good balance between cleaning Mum's and having a restful break. I thought you weren't back until the weekend, but obviously I was mistaken. Did your Aunt find the FH meeting interesting? She might even go by herself another time!

With the expenses those Moggies are racking up, I'm rather glad we don't have any. And I thought children were bad enough!

Hope you're slightly better today LG - small steps ;-)

Afternoon - hope you can make the most of your last few days leave Maz.

LG is poorly so probably took her self off to bed early, and of course this morning is Littlie time ;-)

We've been to a local auction this morning, and bought a boxed set of 6 Galway crystal wine glasses for £24. I think it's a bargain, at least we hope so! OH wanted an oscilloscope, but
a) didn't know if it worked
b) so did a couple of other people and he wasn't prepared to beat their bids.

As long as you set youself a strict limit and don't get carried away, it can be a 'fun' outing on a soggy Friday. Apparently the auction house is going to be featured in one of the antique programmes on BBC2 in a couple of weeks - they've already been filmed. We'll have to view it and see if we can spot one of the neighbours who does a bit of buying and selling for antique/collectable fairs.
