Evening all.

The auction sounds interesting DET. Pleased you got a bargain. Well done! :-D

I have had a day's holiday as the plasterers were coming to check the wall in my hall and bedroom. They need to come back at the end of November to treat the wall and re-plaster, so more decorating. Oh joy!! It will take me weeks to finish off what I have started! Been really today, but managed to get a lot done, so pleased with myself tonight, though I am tired!

Off for my flu jab tomorrow morning :-P

Edit: Evening LG. I hope you are feeling a little brighter today. I have taken so long to click on 'submit' after typing my post, that you nipped in while I wasn't looking!! :-D

YG Report 19 Oct 2012 21:41

Good to see you are progressing in the right direction, even though you are not right yet. A very sensible decision not to see the littlies today, though :-) :-)

I would really have felt awful if I had passed this on it really knocks you for six :-|. My friend has had it almost 2 weeks now and can't seem to shake of the cough

YG

YG Report 19 Oct 2012 22:21

One of the temps at work has it, too. She caught it from her friend and she has had it for the same length of time as your friend.

I have just finished cleaning up the paint brushes and rollers!! I left them soaking but needed to clear up as someone is coming at 8.30 in the morning to measure up for a kitchen blind. Another morning when I can't have a lay-in. Watch me on Sunday!! :-D :-D

At least he has tried, LG. They are not very fussy when it comes to housework, are they! :-D :-D

I'm off now, LG, as I still have a few bits and pieces to tidy up in the kitchen, then bed!

I'll catch you tomorrow, hopefully.

Sleep well <3

Morning all - We already have the exam 'blocks'. There's some

27 Feb - 12 March
26 March - 28 March

We won't know until much closer to the time who is working when.
No problems on a Saturday if that suits better.

Any way, plenty of time to sort a date!

LG - Take your time with the dreaded; its no good knocking your self for six.

YG - if the plasterer's are as good as the ones we had, they are very quick and tidy - they even cleaned up their own mess :-D

YG

YG Report 20 Oct 2012 19:48

Evening all.

Pleased to hear that you are being sensible and taking it easy, LG.

The photos sound good, Maz. I love firework displays, but never see any nowadays, and looking at the price of them, I certainly won't be buying any!!

I have week to take off between January and March, so I'm good to go!!

I think I exhausted myself yesterday so have had a sleep this afternoon!! I'm sure it won't have hurt to miss an afternoon of painting. I can do some tomorrow!!

The plasterers were really nice guys, DET and they asked if they would be coming to do the job on a baking day!!! I told them that I don't have time nowadays, but I will make sure that there are at least some bought cakes for them!! :-D :-D

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 20 Oct 2012 23:05

If any of the photos are suitable Maz, see if they would up load as an Avatar. With Bonfire Night coming on, it would fit right in :-D

So have you been slipping and baking cakes YG? How else did they know there was a 'baking day' hm??

Guess what! OH has got out the dust sheets and sandpaper - once step closer to decorating the stairs and landing !!!!!! :-D :-D :-D

Morning all ,The bonfire night is run by the various bonfire societies right through nov 5th in Lewes
They consist of Parades and fire eaters etc then it all ends for hastings at the beach with a massive bonfire and display .plus lots of hangovers as the pubs are buzzing with all the revellers and music but folk music .these are not too bad

Morning all

I hadn't realised that there were so many bonfires....we thought it was just the one! Wasn't there some problem last year were people had had their sight affected - something about fireworks being thrown around? Not sure if they were 'official' fireworks, or those of the crowd. The main thing is that you enjoyed it.

We haven't had fireworks or been to a display for years; we used to go to my parents when the children were little as they had a big garden. Ours is much smalller and surrounded by trees - rockets could well get stuck in the branches. The road parallel to us is made up of 'expensive' houses which tend to have private parties, so we can stand at our front windows and have a our own free display over the roof tops :-D

Mazfromnorf Report 21 Oct 2012 17:00

Its a club that goes on all year ,there are loads of things in the south east that go on ,
but its all around Pubs though and YG would have enjoyed it cos the fire brigade follow closely behind
