Brrrr... at least it shouldn't take more than 2 days. At least, that's how long it took to replace our original hunk of cast-iron boiler, including running pipes under the floorboards and removing the old one.

Make sure your lounge fire is working before they start!!! :-D

The fire is going to be last, and as it will be electric, I may have to wait for an electrician for a day or so. Lovely! :-D

Brrr winter draws on ;-). Car threw up ice warning on the dash panel on my way home this evening. Lucky I got my sensitive plants into the greenhouse earlier on

I'm going to hibernate for three months :-D :-D

I can cope with February as it starts to get a little lighter coming home from work. I hate the darkest months. I think I must suffer from winter depression :-P :-P

I don't mind the dark nights I just don't like the cold. It never bothered me until last winter it must be an age thing.

Morning its white here about 2cms it has fallen snce i got in last night late ,All our shifts and rotas are changing in the the length and less days ,however I am short of hours next week so i may have to tag a couple of hours on somewhere ,it will be cheaper for the travellers ,
the needs of clients have changed so we have to tailor our support times to meet their needs
off to the shop before i get home later

Morning Maz - been looking at the Durham snow on submitted viewers photos on BBC news. With a bit of luck it will melt quickly. Lovely to look at and for the first day or so, but awful when it gets mucky or starts to freeze. I've still got my unused boot grips to use if it comes to it later in the year!

I'm with YG about the sunlight - Although not officially S.A.D I do get depressed if we don't get any sunshine for a while. At least it's sunny here at the moment!

You ought to be able to use the fire while the CH is being sorted...or vice versa. The fire should only take a couple of hours anyway.

The local Masonic Hall has a family open day. I might go and have a look to see where my Dad used to hang out once a month. Free Masonry by association was a big part of my childhood OH says he wants to stay and carry on with the painting, so if I do go, it will be a solo trip. Now then...where are the credit cards? :-D

Am off to have my hair coloured and then not sure. It's little gds birthday today, but it is more likely to be tomorrow when I see her. I'm a bit annoyed as I ordered some things for her from Debs, but they have sent the wrong colour top, so am trying to decide whether to risk it, or go into town this afternoon to see if I can change it. Or, I might just leave it for dil to do :-D :-D

Morning all, sunny here but bloomin cold this morning. I have got to get some bits of shopping when I can persuade OH out of bed :-D. I also need to catch up with some dreaded that has not got done whilst I have been an invalid :-| :-| :-P.
