I need to go and sleep, LG. Have to be ready for the taxi at 8.30 for my hospital appointment and have a couple of things to do before I go.

I will be at home all day afterwards, so will be lurking in corners watching for any mischief on here :-D :-D

Bletchley Park sounds as if it might be something OH would be interested in visiting - anything to get us out of the house!

I'm struggling with the lappie, DET. I have just had a sleep for a couple of hours as it is more comfortable closed, but I can't sleep all the time! It will be better tomorrow, hopefully.

The central heating boiler in my previous home was nearly 20 years old.It was a Baxi with a gas fire front.Only became a problem when we were unable to get parts for it.
Have an Ideal Isar combi boiler at this address,can't fault it.

YG - I'm more likely to be standing behind him cracking the whip, than drag him away from his paintbrushes! After all, its taken at least 4 years for him to get this far :-D
Perhaps he can be spurred on with the reward of a trip out to the home of the Enigma machine?

Maz had better take note of David's recommendation, if it comes to replacing her boiler. They don't make 'em like they used to ;-)
We got rid of our original floor standing one as we

a) wanted the space
b) it was rather inefficient

I am starting to feel more comfortable and brighter now, thank you. It has not been a good experience this time round and another one to go yet, but I am going to see if I can get an afternoon appointment again next time, so I don't have as long to wait before bedtime!!

Just had a joiner to give me a quote for replacing the internal doors, but he thinks I should have the existing doors stripped and sanded as they are solid doors. He can do the job and it will be almost half the price of new ones so that will pay for another job for to be done! :-D :-D
